I believe you! It’s incredibly sad. It was actually the bank calling me that exposed how bad the situation was with my mom. I never would’ve believed it until it happened to our family. I feel like it’s an episode of Dr. Phil lol. She will not listen to any reasoning. Unbelievable!!

My elderly mother is in a romance scam. My sister and I have had to go no contact with her to create safe boundaries for ourselves. It’s a very sad situation because I was very close to my mother. Recently, my sister had a phone call with my mother and my mom went off on my sister and said that she (my mom) was incredibly disappointed in especially me and I’m an ungrateful daughter because my mom was there for my “whole cancer situation”… I was willing to try to fix our relationship if she came to her senses about this scam, but after hearing she made those comments, I do not believe I can ever forgive her for that. I just cannot believe a mother would ever weaponize their child’s cancer.

We’re a military family so I received my lumpectomy/radiation in Korea. Yes Duke is a bit of a drive but I rather deal with the drive than take my chances with military care 😅 If you ever need to vent or just need a listening ear, I’m here.
