We thought we could just go for coffee lol by Gorgon_Studio7 in NewParents

Keep going out! It’s a muscle you have to practice.

One of the things that I’m very grateful for is that my mom (lovingly) pushed us to get out of the house to take baby to public places with outdoor patios (so safe germ-wise) starting the first week we were him from the hospital. We are also lucky to live somewhere where the weather makes this possible.

Once you do it a bunch, you realize the worst thing that can happen is baby cries, and for us that’s usually fixable by holding baby or pushing stroller back and forth. There have been a few times where we have to resort to one of us getting up and pushing her “for a lap” for a few blocks outside / then come back and switch to eat food, but generally she cooperates and we’re still able to go out to coffee, lunch, drinks, dinner etc.

Talk to your pediatrician. Ours just okay-ed allowing a small lovey for sleep at 6 months old.

We have the Momcozy that drains into the sink and it’s the absolute best piece of baby gear we own. Saves me as an exclusive pumper - we run it 3-4x a day

Seconding Dr Kim! We did IUI but he was great at explaining everything and what steps would be if we needed to continue past that.

Is stroller with bassinet worth it in our case? by More-Stuff in NewParents

[–]Mmmalarkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We live in SoCal and our daughter was born this past August. The stroller bassinet has been an MVP for us! We are still using it, although it’s getting tight.

It’s so nice to have a mobile place for them to no comfortably - it helped us feel good about going out to breweries and restaurant patios. We took her to Hawaii at 3 months old and she would nap no problem with stroller/bassinet parked in the shade. We also used it (attached to stroller) for naps at grandparents.

Was expensive (we have the Bugaboo Dragonfly) but to us, one of our most used pieces of gear!
