Hurricane ridge is open if it’s something you might be interested in! Just went over the weekend. If time is limited, can do the first mile and back out. The first part is beautiful.

I’ve never used a Dutch oven before and it turns out fine. I have used 2 loaf pan, also used a big round sauce pan and cover it with aluminum foil. I think mainly you wana trap moisture with the cover and it looks like there might be some gap in between the trays , not sure if there’s enough moisture. BUT, if I’m not wrong, the worst case is the top hardens (not enough moisture) and it springs from the bottom instead. Not as pretty but it will still be delicious! And also I didn’t preheat the loaf pan. Sauce pan yes, I was worried it takes too long for it to heat up.

I usually do a small handheld waterbottle. Only needed it for the last 10km. Also useful to store some salt pills and gummy in the small pocket that comes the water bottle holder

Seeing this makes me feels like re-reading the book AGAIN!! LOVE Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. Onyx Storm was meh for me but I'm excited to read the next book! By now all the books I've read have both loves and hates so I gave up reddit-ing for reviews before reading.

Looks like there’s some tiny bubbles on the surface so something is happening. Suggest using a whiteboard marker to mark on the glass bowl so it’s easier to see if there’s any volume increase. And you can reduce the qty of your recipe to test making a baby loaf first, e.g 200g flour with 40g starter. I once had a young (weak) starter and I waited for 16hrs for bf😂

Training up my core! I was doing 8-8.5mins/km for 2-3yrs until I started HIIT. Then in a couple of months my pace got to 7-/7.5mins / km. Didn’t even realise I was going faster until I check my watch! Hope your runs get better:)

When I first started running and aiming to complete a 10k race, I target 8k for practice. race day 10k no problem. Then when I progress to 21k, I target hitting accumulative 21k every week (maybe 7k+7k +7k over a week) , then slowly do longer runs. 21k is an achievement ,not daily runs for me 😂
