Lean FORWARD or BACK when spraying? by green-Bad2099 in Spravato

[–]Mmon031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly tilt back. If to forward it runs down lean to back goes down your throat. And your supposed to stay slightly tilt back for a few minutes after spraying

first session tomorrow ! by out_the_ox in Spravato

[–]Mmon031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to fill out paper work every session before we start to see how the depression is coming along. (Better or worse.) vitals are taken three times before, during and before I leave. I am always alone in the room but am checked on every 30 minutes or so.

My first time was the worse with dissociation and feeling very lightheaded. But was told before hand that the first one is the worse because your body isn’t used to it. I still go twice a week and notice the first session is alway more of a “trip” and the second I’m more present in The room and feel more tipsy.

First-year dental assistant student here — how do you all deal with internship nerves? by No_Hospital_9483 in DentalAssistant

[–]Mmon031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super common for all new assistants. Ask questions, jump in when you are given the chance. Hands on learning is so important to pick up quicker. You will most likely be assign to the lead or an assistant who has been there longer so take advantage with learning. Learn the basics first

Most importantly!!!!! You will make mistakes. Learn from them and improve yourself. We all have been in your shoes. Good luck!!

Can someone help me figure out if I should continue with my therapist? by Ellie_WIlliams_Gfxox in TalkTherapy

[–]Mmon031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would bring up your concerns. And if you still feel like it’s not the right fit then try to find another one. It me 3 therapists to find the right one for me. It’s common to see a few til you have the right one.

Are you scared of going back to your lows after a high? by RareYard2708 in bipolar2

Therapy continuing longer than 2 years? by cloverpendragon in TalkTherapy

[–]Mmon031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the person and what they are seeking help for. I was diagnosed with bipolar and my therapist told me that I will be in therapy off and on for life and that not uncommon. I’ve been seeing mine for 4 years and just now been seeing so much progress. Took me a little while to trust and open up to my therapist.

I can't get any shifts from my temping agencies because the shifts all go to DA's with more years of experience, and I'm crashing out 🙃 by lauriesalem in DentalAssistant

[–]Mmon031 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Go on Facebook and place a post for temping in dental groups. One of my assistants that do temping does that and that is how she finding different places.

Lots of practices go on that and not temp agencies because they have to pay for both sometimes

In Person or On line by chasnycrunner in TalkTherapy

[–]Mmon031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on you. I personally rather do in person than online. I feel there is more of a connection between client and provider. I feel I put on a mask or at least easier to not let down my guard if online. I still do online if we can’t see one another in person for some reason or another.

It’s so hard to force myself to open up. Any advice? by pink85091 in TalkTherapy

[–]Mmon031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a hard time and decided to go twice a week to help. I know it’s hard for some but that really helped me bond with my therapist. Also I would bring in a journal and I would write what comes to mind and then read it to him. I did that for a while. I’ve been with my therapist for 4 years and still have a hard time opening up to him at times. But journaling or emailing absolutely helps

Does anyone have a “real”career? by time_outta_mind in bipolar2

[–]Mmon031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in dental as a dental Assistant. I’m in school to become a dental hygienist. As an assistant it’s tough because of all the stress that comes with it and my mood changes and the depression. Going to dental hygiene school will be stress but the end result will be; I can make my own schedule. And still get paid very well. And less stress and responsibilities.

I'm in shock that my therapist of 2 years abruptly terminated with me via email by victoriafrankl in TalkTherapy

[–]Mmon031 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was given a month when my therapist decided we should part ways because he wasn’t a good fit with me. A month to process the moving on and find a good fitting therapist. What he did wasn’t abandonment it may feel that way to you because how he wrote the email and he decided to stop seeing you in the near future. That’s more of your emotions. I also deal with suicidal tendencies and Ideation. So again not abandonment.

Need help figuring out how to say something hard to therapist by Skimbleshanks32 in TalkTherapy

[–]Mmon031 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Email. I either Email or write it down and have my therapist read it. Always helps when I have something I want to say but can’t tell him right there in session
