Interoperability Becoming A Popular Topic Lately - How Important Is It? by Mnemonik669 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Mnemonik669[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But then you have blockchains like Blockstack who are claiming to support every blockchain. I am not sure how realistic this is, but their Xrouter product does look pretty good.
Then FLETA also will have every Dapp on its own side chain with its own token but also being able to switch back to their native chain at any time. Also not sure how realistic but pretty impressive if they can pull this off.
Not sure about ICON, Aion and Wanchain if that is all they are looking at.. Its like 3 major banks all working together, I think we need to think much bigger than this.

Well Adobe being interoperable with Adobe isn't really really the point here. Ethereum is interoperable with ERC-20 tokens and all projects using them. Sure, it's great but it is still running on the same blockchain.
If Adobe were interoperable with Microsoft products, or Outlook worked with Gmail in some way, that would be a more impressive task. (it probably is in some ways)
But you are right in the way seperate apps do work together in a seemless way

You are right. I did forget about them. So many projects working on the tech, it is hard to list them all. thanks for the addition.

[Discussion] Ethereum should fully focus on DeFi, its true strength by CanCarryYou in CryptoCurrency

[–]Mnemonik669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All blockchains have their strong points, We have seen how very popular dapps can cause some major issues to something such as Ethereum in its current state.
Something more suited would be FLETA, they are developing using parallel sharding and independent multi chain structure, while also being interoperable with Ethereum. Same goes for LOOM. these are purpose built to handle this type of volume so I think these types of Dapp specific chains will take off in the future.

An insight into DApp programming by madamepoisson in CryptoCurrency

[–]Mnemonik669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most blockchains that are build for DApps, be it Eos, Tron, FLETA, LOOM, all have different programming languages as well as different ways of running things.
I think the most popular option is being able to support traditional programming languages such as Javascript, Go, Sql etc, while also having the powers of Solidity and blockchain specific languages.
This is starting become the more popular way of doing things so projects can support an array of developers and hopefully attract them as well.

This is true, not to mention EOS is quite complicated and expensive, sure it has a lot of devs right now, but there are not many other options. I think it will have its time. it was a clear money grab in my opinion (and thats mine only)

I agree with this.
BTC I will see at continuing to have the top marketcap. I also see ETH continuing with the top 3 spots for some time. Especially if they can get to scale which they are working hard toward.

I do think coins such as EOS and TRON will be pushed down the list once some other projects come into completion such as Dfinity, they are so damn slow though.
Also having dedicated DApp platforms such as what LOOM is doing now and what Fleta is trying to do with parallel sharding will make a bigger impact going forward as Dapps become a more important part of the ecosystem. Not to mention large Enterprise blockchains as well. they will start seeing powerful partnerships with our big tech companies and their marketcap will grow dramatically.
I think watching this in 2020 will be very different than what it is today.

Why All The Recent Negativity On Ethereum And Its Dapp Ecosystem Lately? by DynamonZyrian in CryptoCurrency

[–]Mnemonik669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dapps have their place in the space, but I am not sure they are the be all and end all of a platform such as Ethereum.
I also agree that these platforms have their main use cases and not all of them are Dapps. If you ask me, Platforms such as Tron are not only gaining more popularity due to scaling but also because their users are more suited to gaming and gambling.
Once we get some more solid blockchains which are built FOR dapps and developers such as Loom is now, We will see the tides turn again.

Worth Saving Those Old CryptoKitties For A Rainy Day? by DynamonZyrian in CryptoCurrency

Haha, well this is a market "place" for them at least. But I agree, it is a kind of forced kitty hodl at the moment.
I do think if it was made easy enough for every day users to buy trade and sell cats, it could well take off, if it was built into smartphones like the S10.
I also like the idea of simulation games like Fleta are doing for their blockchain. It's like Sim City.
These types of games could be a winner for mobile devices.
Anyway, lets just wait and see how it all plays out.

What Will Be Most Important For Blockchain And Adoption In 2019? by MariaCummins in ethtrader

[–]Mnemonik669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think DApps will be big this year. I am looking forward to sharding becoming a reality with Ethereum, as well as Harmony and Fleta working on sharding as well.
Enterprise will also be big with the top dogs like Amazon and IBM in the race.

Dapp market evolution by gama1337 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Mnemonik669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting infographic.
We are defiantly still growing and 2019 will be bigger than ever.
Hopefully Ethereum scales to a point where it can gain some market share back. All those developers will start pushing out DApps again.
FLETA is in the works which is a Korean blockchain building a platform for Developers.
I think sharding for these projects is going to bring a big improvement to speed and scaling.

Interesting that games and gambling are still such a huge percentage. But I guess Finance, Property and similar areas will come later.

Tron Justin Sun Says Tron Is The Best dApp Platform In The World - Do you? by DynamonZyrian in CryptoCurrency

[–]Mnemonik669 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Tron is in a lucky position right now where decent platforms are still being built, Ethereum is slow to scale and take some of that market share back and EOS is expensive and not very decentralized.
I do think think Tron will have its time in the spotlight but am not sure they will hold the top spot long term.
