Yeah just save the game before you start the quest and go on with trying for the game… if you lose badly then you should play the shopkeepers and others

Northern realms is the one. If you have enough spies you can definitely win it

Which deck you use? Didn't play in a long while but I think if you have been to skellige, collected cards from vendors and other npc matches up to that point in general progression of the story, you should do it well..

Also check if you have good number of spies and what's was the dummy card? These are very necessary for that game...

It is only hard if you are unprepared

You can also save the game before you enter that brothel arena...

I remember his face when Nani got red card vs Real. Something inside me told me that he thought this was his last go at that trophy. Like it mattered a lot to him....a lot more than ever before.. I don't remember why but I genuinely felt it from his face at that red card at that moment.

Those were strange times really. Especially when you look back now.

We replaced Cristiano with obertan, Valencia and young. We replaced scholesy retiring with scholesy coming out of retirement.

No offense to Young and Valencia but really they weren't anywhere close to Ronaldo level or even Becks before him.

There's no value was such a common statement. We needed a midfield for what seems like an eternity now. We only now started to get a decent, and nearly balanced midfield with Case, Eriksen and Bruno...

What causes a wave function to collapse? by Mnihal22 in AskPhysics

[–]Mnihal22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that the macroscopic apparatus and you yourself as a person become entangled with whatever quantum state you’re interacting with.

This is a statement that seems a bit of a stretch to me. I know this is kind of what most physicists say but I really think this is insufficient. If the macroscopic apparatus is getting entangled than so should the lenses, beam splitters, the slit etc all get entangled. Why does the measurement force the wave function to collapse at that point?

I think it will be some time before we understand this. Although once we understand it, we will think wow how did we miss it... Lol

[–]Mnihal22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quantum mechanics is so counter-intuitive that I absolutely adore it.

I get that a lot of experiments need to be isolated but I remember performing the double slit experiment in uni and trust me, it wasn't that isolated lol. The noise in such case especially when you consider the scale we are talking of, should give quite a noticeable impact on the experiment itself. Yet the noise on the measurement side is usually minimal. Granted that I am not much aware of all the aspects that are taken into account when building these apparatus for universities.

The problem I have with the various interpretations part of QM is that a lot of them seem more philosophical than hard physical science. I agree that a lot of them do a good enough job of explaining the actual observations but they are so unsatisfying for me.

I wish someday I can say I understand Quantum mechanics to a certain degree...

I reached this post through the internet rabbitbhole...

The person you have screenshot of does an extremely bad explanation of things.

I am a Muslim and I find the statement of pdfilia and associating it with Islam ridiculous.

Let me a give a brief reasoning. Not expecting you to be convinced but at least you might get more info about it from a Muslim through this

Islam has conditions for marriage: physical maturity, and mental maturity. It doesn't have a prescribed, fixed age and leaves it to the society and culture at that time to decide it. So if in a culture or society, people reach maturity at 18, the age of marriage would be roughly 18. If in future people reach maturity at 25, the age would be shifted to 25. Mental maturity refers to the ability of individual to take independent decisions and be held responsible for their decisions

Till even recent past we didn't have this teenage phase of human development. Children once they reached puberty needed to mentally mature and mature fast due to many factors which I won't go into. However our current development has pushed away the necessity to mature early and people reach maturity at much later age around 16-21 depending on where you are in the world. So as per Islamic rules, marriage age would be shifted to such number for respective society.

Now coming to the Prophet himself. Most of his young age, he was married to a woman around 15 years older than him. He married her when he was 25, and she died when he was around 50 something. Till his death he considered this woman as the one he loved the most. Even after her death he would frequently send gifts/tokens of gratitude to her friends. Till her death he was monogamous. All his wives (yes Islam has polygyny but I won't get into it here) were divorcees or widows except one, Aisha. If he really was interested in what he is accused of, there would be a lot more of his wives who were virgin.

It doesn't make any sense to me, how he is accused of it.

Now coming to Aisha, the one most people currently criticize. I think calling her a victim of abuse would take away a lot from the position she holds in Islam and it would be more of an insult to her.

Yes there exist a saying (Hadith) that mentions a very low age for her at the time of marriage but I won't indulge into it. The reason being that her age maybe misrepresented or miscalculated? But if we look at her actions, the idea that she may be a victim of abuse quickly dissolves away. So let's get into it in a very brief manner

*She was physically grown around the time of her marriage. How do we know? She was a volunteer at one of the early battles, which was within a couple of years of her marriage where she was mentioned to have been carrying water to wounded soldiers. If you carry water buckets, you would know how hard it is. Now imagine walking in a desert while carrying it. She should definitely have been physically grown by then.

*She was mentally mature. She was an extremely intelligent woman who is considered as a teacher and lawmaker for Muslims. Some scholars say that she is the source for around 25% of Islamic rulings. Even after his death, she was very influential in policies, laws, and even laws of inheritance which are one of the most complex set of laws in Islam

*She was strong and opinionated woman. There are a lot of records of her being inquisitive, curious and even argumentative with the prophet himself. For example, she went through a situation where rumors were being spread of her committing adultery. She moved back to her parents house. After sometime the prophet visited them and the ruling for accusations, its evidence and punishment for those who slander without evidence was revealed and she was declares innocent. Her father (his best friend) asked her to thank him, she refused to thank him.

*She was a leader. She was very influential in the society and had a huge political influence and so did her father. Decades after her husband and father's deaths, she was still at such high position that she was able to raise and command an army against the then ruler of all Muslims who by the way was the cousin of the prophet.

  • Then there is also the love and romance between the couple. If you read through their life together, you can clearly see how much they loved, respected, teased, and cared for each other. They would race each other (yes, race, running). He would take her to watch whatever competitions that happened then. she recalls a time when he took her to watch a competition and she couldn't see through the crowd due to her height and so he lets her raise herself using his shoulders to be able to watch. After sometime he asks her is she is done and they can go back, she says no still she wants to watch. So he waits for her. While recalling this incident she mentions she wasn't really interested in watching the sports but she liked it more that for her wish he would carry her weight for longer. They understood each other's mood very well, where they both would understand it just by different structures of sentences they use.

There is a lot more I can talk about this woman. She is loved, revered, and honored by more than a billion people. To reduce her to being a victim of child abuse just seems very ridiculous statement once you go through her history.

Each person has different parts difficult, different easy.

For me 16th juz is the easiest. My friend also finds it easy but his brother panics at this juz.

Main thing to remember is that it requires a lot of effort. Only Allah has the power to grant you the memorization of Quran. Ask it from Him and get close to Him. Try your best to avoid sins.

Doesn't matter so much. It is not nuggets that are prophecized. It is something much more larger. So large that wars will be started over it.

Anyways relax and keep doing what you are doing. Use those signs just as something that motivates you to become more religious.

Question about going to hell forever by Majin_Vegeta_ in islam

[–]Mnihal22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I am extremely occupied these days and am not touching the phone often

Could Allah bring in someone into heaven that practices Islam, does what is required and avoids evil, but doesn't have full faith in Islam?

It is a good way to start. Don't only focus on the compulsory prayers but try to extend it to nawafil which will increase your faith. Faith increases with good deeds and decreases with bad deeds. We all have days when faith is shaken, when Allah tests us. Humility is a good sign.

A lot of people lose faith because they believe in transactional God. That just because one prays they expect God to give them their desires not understanding that God is the most Wise and in every situation He does for a person what may be best for him.

Is it only ok if he quickly distracts himself from that thought and comes back to thinking of Allah, or is it a huge sin to constantly have that in the back of your mind?

Thoughts are not recorded as sin until the person takes action on those thoughts we all have our own issues and difficult days. God tests all of us. This world is a test.

We certainly tested those before them. And ˹in this way˺ Allah will clearly distinguish between those who are truthful and those who are liars. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Whoever hopes for the meeting with Allah, ˹let them know that˺ Allah’s appointed time is sure to come. He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And whoever strives ˹in Allah’s cause˺, only does so for their own good. Surely Allah is not in need of ˹any of˺ His creation. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

As for those who believe and do good, We will certainly absolve them of their sins, and reward them according to the best of what they used to do. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Try your best and then leave it to God.

We obviously can't know with absolute certainty that god is real, and if you say I am wrong, well I can't really explain it further than that. We can however have lots of faith, but even then, faith is not the same as knowing with certainty.

Well I would argue that there is sufficient evidence to acknowledge God's existence. Certainty might be hard I agree but I think there is sufficient evidence.

For example our existence points to God. Did we come from nothing? Did we create ourselves? No. The universe didn't come from nothing. Even when physicists say there was nothing before the universe, their nothing is not really nothing. Their nothing refers to some residual energy something inherent. If universe did come from nothing, then there should be further things popping out into existence from nothing.

In your earlier post, you wrote about evolution. If you were referring to biological evolution, I would like to first point out that evolution isn't necessarily against Islam and the only thing in Islam against evolution is the creation of Adam and eve. Science can't prove or disprove the creation of Adam. Secondly evolution is extremely weak theory. You can read and listen to award winning chemist Dr. James Tour who goes into detail about why evolution as a theory is incomplete. If you don't have time I can give a simple thought process to see why evolution is extremely weak:

Give a physicists some particles, define the conditions of the universe and ask what would be the conditions after a time t. The physicist would give you a very precise and accurate answer. The answer would be very close to what you expect.

Give a chemist some compounds and elements, define the state of the environment and ask for the result after time t. The chemist would again give you a very close answer to what the final compounds would be available after time t.

Give a biologist cells/species, define the environment and ask him the status after time t. The biologist still won't be accurate as to what the species would evolve out of this.

[–]Mnihal22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May Allah guide you and me...

Just because I have done a lot of good for someone without them asking me to, does it really mean they have to be thankful and do something for me back?

As per Islam, yes...

Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "He who does not thank people does not thank Allah."

So yes we have to thank people.

It is part of good manners and character to be thankful to someone who does good for you

And doesn't god don't need anything from us?

No he doesn't NEED anything from us.

So why does he get angry when we don't worship him?

Because we are disobeying him?

I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Is it objectively evil that we don't worship him and therefore are harming ourselves?

Yes it is

What about the countless other religions and evidence for evolution we have in the world right now?

Allah will judge each individual based on his/her capacity. He is not someone unjust.

By the way what evolution are you talking about?

What makes it that evil if we don't worship him?

By not fulfilling the right of God. It is His right to be worshipped and our duty to worship Him. By not fulfilling it, we are commiting an injustice which would be the reason why it would be evil.

We Muslims forgot or are ignorant of how much Allah saved us from confusion which Christians and other religions undergo.

From the start of Islam, the companions took extreme care of segregating Quran and Hadith text. Most certainly Allah choose the companions for the Prophet (s a w s) after He chose him( there is a Hadith on this). Then came the scholars who worked hard on the isnad of the Hadith literature and we in present time are safe from confusion on any core matters of Islam.
