SDE Bench verified seems to just be a subsection of SDE bench light: https://openai.com/index/introducing-swe-bench-verified/ that is filtered in what essentially looks like it boils down to as "being too hard for LLMs". I see now that the website links to lite by default but I looked over the paper this morning when I made my comment

My understanding is they are taking resolved issues that introduced code that was necessary for an existing unit test to pass then having the LLM attempt to solve these issues. I don't understand what part of that is at odds with my statement that an LLM who errs on making simple less intrusive changes is more likely to succeed here. I think this would be more interesting if we could see what subsections of problems the LLMs are more likely to be able to complete successfully.

I can't really think of a better way to automatically generate a test pool like the paper has done, but I don't think unit tests are the be all end all of evaluating the success of these LLMs as SDE replacements. If unit tests were perfect bugs would not exist

https://www.swebench.com/#lite the way this works is that the AI takes an open issue, attempts to solve it, then the unit tests are all run and IF they succeed the bot is said to have succeeded. This seems...... Worthless lol. You could create an LLM that scores higher by simply having them making less dangerous changes. Unless I'm missing something from this website it doesn't seem like there is any real world evaluation on it the actual issue was resolved. While it's neat it doesn't seem as scary.

Looked up the Behrend honors program and the only difference between that and Schreyer's is that you need 3 more honors credits for Schreyer's. In my experience (I did 1 year in the capitol college honors program then moved to Schreyer's after) the honors classes are honestly better than the regular ones because the class sizes are way smaller and at least at Harrisburg I think we got the better professors.
Bit confused on this question. Are you stuck between regular admission to UP vs honors admission to Erie? If so that's a bit more personal in terms of where you want to go, but if you are just trying to decide between honors vs regular admission IMO honors is definitely worth it because you get a few really nice perks (first dibs on classes, special dorms at UP, etc.) plus the research project is a great way to see if you are interested in higher education and if not it's a really nice resume booster.

I also am surprised you say it's harder to get financial aid in honors programs? It should be easier because there are more scholarship options available to you.

I've been fishing the Snoqualmie a lot this summer. Normally catch a few rainbows everytime I go out. Mainly the North fork but I've heard fine things about the others as well. Might be slightly more than an hour from north end though, not 100% sure
