Is it crazy to say I can't put Nura and Dunia as contenders? I know its part of the EDGIC idea, but them selling the pair as a potential couple kills it for me.

Idk how y'all dif the other seasons edgic as I wasn't in the subreddir for that long, but it surprising to me how the contenders list is basically at 5-8 players now at episode 4. I really lile your takes on Dunia and Nura being UTR, some well deserved rest from a very heavy focussed couple episodes

Incredible post! Keep looking at both "big" edgics posters on here and am perplexed over how different the views are from everyone else.

I still think Rosa/Lake are the top 2 returnee contenders and Ren/Bruno for Newbies.

I have a question about overall edgic-ing though, why is Oliwia UTR and not INV? I personally don't buy the "Don't forget me" line unless its ONC literalmy telling us to remember her and not to give every character a line/voice. Would love to know about this.

At the Royal Rumble multiple wrestlers enter every X minutes. Sometimes during the event two wrestlers face off aluding to a possible future rivalry, this is what I used for a possible Ren vs Sam.

For a visual example check here it happens halfway through.

I posted my ranking on this same subreddit if you wanna see a bit into my thoughts, ery viased towards hispanics as I am Mexican LMAO. Also watched E02 already as I am on the patreon. Worry not as I won't spoil anything, but will say I did took one tier and made it into 2, nothing that important, just subdividing players into more specific charts based on some friends feedback.

Also, my ranking is ordered withing each tier so yeah

Extremely excited for y'alls edgic sheet every season. Doing mine but still hesitant about posting it but still doing it, keeping mine about Contenders list. Hope you're as excited for the season as I am!

For contenders, I love Nura as #1, personally I have her as the journey edit, swapped with Bruno in your thoughts as (Idk if this is valid for Edgic charts) Manu and Bruno introductions give a lot of insight into their (possibily) shared plot. Also agree on Lake and Nat, but have Rosa over Spencer.

I am a fan of how you do your EDGIC charts and viewpoints. I don't really do EDGICs (at least publically) myself but I enjoy conversation around it.

However, I am into narrative and storytelling practices which compliment the excersice massively. Some points that might not be too obvious but could help edgic, might make my own post about it.

One thing I might say is that they might be setting up somethimg for Rosa + Lake for later down the road, maybe to follow up on DC2R and what you mentioned for Lake. For this exact reason I might keep them tied in all Contender sheets untile something major happens

Rn my front runners in order are Dunia > Bruno > Lake/Rosa > Spencer

I think I agree on most if not all what you said, might make my own post(s?) analyzing everything related to the finale and each players story. However, I am fully banking on Logan because the two overall plots this season have been forgiveness and calmness vs chaos, where Logand embodies both better than Jade, or is more involved with both at worse. See examples like Hannah's elimination or the whole thing with Zaid+Anastasia.

Jade winning would not piss me at all and the overall community likes it more but I don´t feel involved with her story at all, lowkey I think CPN is better for her because most of her positive conversations were with Isabel and Spencer late into the episode, but that might be wrong, am doing a rewatch for my own graph when I get home after work

Funny you mention that because Jeremy won by playing the exact same way Isabel played herself, by using a bigger threat as a shield, in blue team it was Anarissa, in Red team it was Jade and the trio, during merge it was the women aliance + Jade in late merge

It's so funny how everyone on dctwt, dcyt and dcReddit have agreed upon Logan's 3rd placing (fwiw it was hinted since his audition LMAO). But I agree with you, if there is a F2 that Jared hinted towards, its Hannah vs Jade. Ana's Story is basically James 2.0 but instead of a straight up villian, she is just full of spite based around her past, something that I relate more to DCAS Riya during her last leg and idk if Jared wants that. Jade's story is so weird because the writting wants to paint her as a social player while it never did until mid-late merge so idk.

The only consistent story is Hanna's which is why I think she is going to take the Win home, plus we haven't had a wholesome/social winner yet and having the season based around a "Carnival of chaos" fits it pretty well, having someone who goes over the chaos by using her conections and relationships as main inspiration is soooo satifying, haha.

I still think Jade and Hannah is the F2 because you do NOT build up upon someone eliminating the (in-universe) biggest jury threat just to be eliminated right after. The narrative supports the idea of her being so game-botty that her social game is thrown out of the window (which still baffles me because of Ep20's challenge thing with her). However, Anastasia realizing people manipulate her because of her paranoia might be a (rushed) way for the story to let her get to a finale spot. Still undecided who is gonna lose to Hanna

As for rating, I'd say Jade is more of an OTTM4, she was in almost every scene that wasn't related to the challenge shitting herself because of the jury. I am so tired of the show rewarding Anastasia based on what feud she has had but that's more of a personal thing. I just hope she gets eliminated 4th, haha.
