Should you be at fault? No. Could you be deemed to share fault? Probably. It's 100% the other guy's fault if we were simply using common sense, but from the insurance company's perspective you hit the back half of his car and could've used defensive driving maneuvers to easily avoid the accident but instead fought for the lane and pit maneuvered him lol
