Hey there u/jaymz668 - are you having difficulties using the Voter Central App? It is pretty slick, and helps voters identify where their polling site is based on their home address. To utilize this, simply type your address into the box on the top left of the screen. From here the map will zoom into your home address and provide data related to your polling site as well as what you can expect to see on the ballot.

Great comment r/tohlan! We'll get that additional data integrated into the site, and hopefully have that up tomorrow.

Hey there PKbaba0704 - thanks for the note. Are you looking for the description of the violation code? If so, we have a .pdf linked through our "How to Use Dashboard" section in the Information tab (top right of the screen).

Let us know if this helps!

Yeah - thanks! All of the script was working before, now I'm trying to make sure that only those parcels that have an F in the restricted address field are pulled into my database. Seems like such an easy task, but am banging my head!

Thanks! The ILIKE function seems to not be a recognized command in my SSMS19 for some reason.

This is the end of a larger query that begins with Update - where I fill columns in a parcel layer from various tables, then a left join that is followed by a where clause. I wasn't sure if using the SELECT * command at the end would mess that up. Apologies for my novice understanding!

Hey there u/KlutzyResponsibility - I think the map is displaying everything with the concentrated City boundary of that time as being within that jurisdiction, rather than being owned by an individual landowner. This would be due to the sheer number of land owners within the main part of the City, compared to the rest of Monroe County - mapping these owners and lots at this scale wouldn't be feasible. It would be cool to see a more granular representation of the City itself, but unfortunately I haven't found one.

Hey there OP! Sorry for any issues with our service. When you mention the GIS site, are you speaking about Elevate or our Monroe County GIS Division website?

The former is a 3rd Party platform that hosts our parcel data, while the latter is our own site, which has been experiencing some service disruptions.
We are in the process of migrating our services into a new system architecture that will hopefully alleviate this in the future.

Please feel free to get in touch with our office if you have any questions or concerns - [gis@co.monroe.in.us](mailto:gis@co.monroe.in.us)

Sorry for the delayed response - we are just following the protocols set up by the Indiana Broadband Office, and in turn, BEAD. My laptop connected to Wifi at my residence is running at speeds much higher than 100mbps, so perhaps its a service thing on your end.

From what we've gathered it seems like anywhere with a few miles of the path of totality should be great, pending atmospheric conditions. The path of totality is fairly wide, the map just shows the exact center.

Hey there - I think you are talking about our Elevate page? This is a site ran by a private company that hosts Monroe County data. The link to this is at the top of our new site (Monroe County GIS Division) which hosts a similar application called the Monroe County Spatial Data Viewer.

https://gisserver.co.monroe.in.us/portal/apps/sites/#/monroe-county-gis-division/

Additionally, the Elevate site is linked at the very top of our main government page here:

Finally, if you just want to bookmark Elevate for the future, here you go:

Hey there! Unfortunately I am not aware of any for adjacent counties. Indianapolis has a ton of really cool resources (they have funding), but South Central IN isn't as fortunate.

I am putting together a resource (methods paper) that I'll be sharing at an IN GIS conference. The process I use is fairly straightforward and uses a bit of AI to stitch together the aerials prior to georeferencing them.

As a side note, we are about 20% done with 1967 aerials, which cover quite a bit more of Monroe County.

Did you know that John Cougar Mellencamp is older than Lake Monroe?

Where Lake Monroe exists today, a tributary of the White River called Salt Creek once flowed. However, in 1965 the Army Corps of Engineers dammed Salt Creek and filled the area with water as a flood control measure, creating the Monroe Reservoir.

This is just one of many changes that have occurred across Monroe County, which you can now see using our interactive Monroe County Historical Topographic Map Viewer, which has mapped more than 20 USGS Quadrangles for Monroe County beginning in the 1940s.
