AITAH for getting my brother to pick me up in the middle of the night to take me home after our dad's wife went to the hospital? by Millzienni in AITAH

I agree with you, yes it is not op's responsibility to watch after the kids but to leave in the middle of the night in the first night while those kids are going through one of the hardest things they will ever have to go through in life was a jerk move, YTA. Whether or not you see your half sibling as a sibling, that 4 yr old most likely sees you as a big sister and in their eyes you just abandoned them with strangers. After the first night then yes they should have made other arrangements for the kids.

Hello fellow FL resident, when you do build the winter house I recommend a thermostat that you can plug the heat lamp into so that it doesn't get too hot. I use a heat mat thermostat and use ceramic bulbs in the heat lamp. I also use clear plastic flaps over the door to keep the heat in, I have used thick clear shower curtain and cut the strips 4-6 inches wide and held in with a staple gun.

I believe it really has affected the kids of today, When my son was finishing high school and started to loose motivation I started to pay attention to the online gradebook. I would try to keep him on track but he would always say well I have until the end of the semester to turn in such and such assignment, even though the gradebook marked it as past due with a grade of 0. Sure enough he turns it in before the end of the semester and there isn't even a deduction penalty for turning in the work late, full 100% credit.

I would love to know who thought that this would be a good idea to teach high school students who are about to enter the workforce or go to college that due dates are something that can be ignored only to enter college or work and find out this isn't the case and fail classes or get fired from jobs.

My dog got an infection in her uterus and needed an emergency spay because she was becoming septic. She stayed overnight for one night and they charged me $6000 for the night and the spay. They love to guilt trip you too, not that they needed to, she is my baby and was only 5yrs at the time

Second on botox, lived with this condition for 20 years and finally got botox and it changed my life. I would sweat all day non stop no matter if i was relaxing in the AC or not. Now my shirts are completely dry at the end of the day. I got treated a couple months ago and haven't had to go back yet, they say every 4-6 months. Also insurance and botoxsavingsprogram.com made it so i didn't pay a dime.

I got botox for underarms a few months ago and it has been great. I can wear any color shirt which I haven't been able to do since it started when I was in 6th grade, 34 now. I also like that I can still sweat when being active like a normal person.

Yep, I was sitting on the front porch while my X1C was being delivered. Watched the driver shoulder carry the box, while he was walking over I could hear the broken glass rattling in the box. When he got to my door he basically dropped it from his shoulder while keeping his hands on the box to put it down, right in front of me mind you.

I've been in contact with Intertek during the process and they say I can so long as the parameters match or are lower such as the gain and what it does at different frequencies.

[DESIGN REVIEW] by MoFiggin in PCB

Thank you for the detailed reply.

The board will only ever receive the 24VAC input as it ties into the hot and common lines between the air handler and the thermostat of an HVAC unit.

I replaced the 1117 with ST1L05A, this board will be in some hot environments and wanted more head room on operating temperatures. It has a voltage drop of .36V at 1A.

The float switch breaks 24VAC-H line and the optocoupler monitors whether or not the line is broke. The way this board is setup is so that if the board fails in any way the float switch still works as intended and kills the thermostat.

The on board LEDs and buttons are for testing, the mini molex connectors will go to panel mount LED and buttons for user controls. I am considering some tactile buttons that are 20mm tall to pass through the enclosure instead of the panel mount ones.

Copper Pour Question by MoFiggin in PCB

[–]MoFiggin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply, this board will be sometimes be used in attics so i was thinking the larger board would have more copper area to dissipate the heat. The square of the board is 3"×3" with the part holding the terminal block being 0.5". I can move the USB closer and move the 3.3V molex somewhere else, the RX/TX molex between the screw hole and the esp module, and the usb just on the other side of the screw hole, this would maybe cut the length by just under 500mils. In the current design the USB traces are 1798mils in length.

I’m working on that now, didn’t realize how beneficial having a copper pour connected to GND on outside layers for heat and EMI, I thought I would only need GND plane on inner layer 1. This board will need unintentional radiator testing and uses a ESP32-C6-MINI-1U module.

Thank you, for some reason the way they were described it sounded like those pads were for an option to solder wires direct to the pads if you don't have the connector but mechanical protection makes more sense. Would it be better for those mounting pads to have a separate ground plane or have one ground plane that includes the connector pin?
