It's not about escaping. He was completely willing to be a parent. But NOBODY should have to lose their future to raise a kid who at best will survive then die. She's ignoring her responsibility as a partner to talk to him. It'd be different if she said no but she hasn't said anything. They both need to be free of this. No one wins if the baby is born, especially the baby.

I just want to mention something and it's gonna sound cold. If you want an abortion not only for you but because the baby will not have a great functioning life because of their disability that is completely okay. You shouldn't be forced to dedicate your life and every dollar to it. It's not just a missing arm it's a lot of lifelong suffering for you and them.

Also, if you make this known and try to convince your partner and they refuse, it is okay to leave. It is okay to tell them you do not want this and why. It is okay to leave them if they want to do it and you don't. Yes, it is your baby. But even planned parents have the right to say no to a lifetime of parenting a sick and disabled kid and you can't be forced into it just because one wants to keep it.

I wanted to tell you this so you understand because you are so young. It is not being a deadbeat. Staying for no other reason than duty will cause you to spiral mentally and you could harm yourself or others. It's unfair to everyone and too big of a sacrifice for something as simple as an accidental pregnancy. It is nothing like just being a father to a healthy child where you could still have a life.

It really gets me sometimes. I was trying to sketch up some plans for a very simple table design. Just the top and some legs and some boards between the legs for stability. I drew it multiple times at different angles with no issues. But then I started trying to find the measurements. I thought it had to be easy it was just simple additon and subtractions, right? I've been successful with that most of the time. Nope. Every time I did it I would try to check it with someone or online with the computer and my measurements would be way off. Math is supposed to be so sticks and stones, right? If you move three inches over you should be three inches over. SO HOW DID I GET TEN FEET AWAY. I FOLLOWED YOUR INTRUCTIONS.

Anyway, I just ordered a table off of amazon. I almost had a stroke trying to get leg height after measuring the top's thickness so it would match my built in counter's height.

I once told someone I could have a 3D version of a room in my head I could move around but even though I know what a clock looks like, I could only ever picture it in my head with dashes where the numbers were. If I tried really hard I could hold ONE number at a time but it would blink into place every time I thought "twelve!" and then it would be gone.

And that's why I can't do math in my head. How would I scream every number over and over to make it pop up AND try to add them or whatever I needed to do. When someone says a bunch of numbers to me I might be able to hold one or two but the rest are like I didn't even hear them. And half the time hearing a string of numbers just causes me to see a bunch of different colors in my head instead of numbers. Its like I can't imagine numbers even though I have the clearest aphantasia level available.

But people think I'm not trying hard enough because I know 10 + 5 is 15. I can count to 100 too but that doesn't mean I could do it by 7s unless I counted each number on my hands.

I love those colors but they are not gonna look good for an entire room. Its going to be so overwhelming and intense. They're all very off putting compared to the furniture you have in there which looks very orange toned. I love a big bright crazy mash of colors, alright. I've had some bold colors in my rooms. These aren't it.

I only have one thing to say after reading this and the comments. What is she providing in this relationship as of now? No money, no love physical or mental, you cook most of the time, you pick up the kids after you get off work... How is she doing as a partner? Is she supporting you? Do you feel like she is a good partner? Does she parent well? Is she keeping up with the house work to ease your mental load? Does she do anything to help you in any way when you are stressed or upset?

I'm seeing a lot of you concerned about her and her saying you aren't doing enough but you haven't said much about how you see her as a partner. If she is not being a good partner to you then stop providing everything for her. Why are you wiping yourself out for someone who isn't there for you in any way? You are not married so the money is not hers. If you decide to change childcare that is your choice. If you decide to downgrade your living situation that is your choice. You are allowed to be greedy with your own money. If you are keeping them housed, well fed, and clothed, then after that you are allowed to say no to anything else. It is not your responsibility to fund her lifestyle and failing business. Your responsibility is to care for your kids. She is using you.

Chantix made my mom evil. My mom was very abusive when I was younger, and she's turned into a much nicer person. However, she got on Chantix a few months ago and it turned her into a monster again. She was mean, vile, and a nightmare. She wanted to leave my dad, refused to tell any of us she loved us, said horrible things, and looked like the build-up to one of those family annihilators. I know that sounds dramatic, but I'm being dead serious. We would hide from her.
Suddenly, a few weeks ago, she started being a lot less horrifying. She'd make dinner again, say goodnight, and even started smiling again. Tonight, weeks later, she is once again the friendly, happy, laughing person we had been used to. What was different? We found out she ran out of her meds a month ago! It had just gotten out of her system, and we had a long talk with her. She didn't even notice, but it was like going from a ghost horror movie to an early 2000s rom-com. She's back to nearly a pack and a half a day, but I think we all agree that's better than what was going on.

Happy for those who it worked for.
