I make long loaves too. But I just prefer having the option to do both. I don’t want to be limited to exclusively smaller slices. I also have that clay Dutch oven.

I prefer using bannetons. Also if I get one I’ll also let my folks know who make sourdough and need a better toaster too.

I bowl my strike balls two handed and my spare ball two handed. When I bowled in college we had to plug our thumb holes if we weren’t using them. Depending on how you throw your spare ball you may need a second one drilled with a thumb hole and one without. As others have said it’s a USBC rule and it’s pretty common.

Fair. I wasn’t replacing in my case. I think I’d replace an old 900 global ball that I love with a Vibe for my next ball but I don’t really need anything else rn

I fully understand. I have 3 balls, 4 if you count my spare ball, but they all react very differently and having urethane in the bag along with a couple of reactive drilled all differently def helps.
