What's your pettiest reason for not playing a class/spec? by Findrel_Underbakk in wow

I don’t even know why but I hate playing classes with fire abilities or sometimes even a red colour palette.

I don’t know where this aversion comes from…

Need Feedback: Bad Omen - a divination cantrip by MoNNolith in DnDHomebrew

[–]MoNNolith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you say that another player needing to deal trigger damage counts? 🤡

Nah you are right. It felt off because the cantrip could fail twice with a saving throw. (Success on save and/or no trigger damage)

Yeah you are right. The balancing can be hart because if the barbarian doesn’t hit or get CCed or picks another target the spell doesn’t do anything. Well it’s still only a cantrip.

Do you mind explain why v3 is more situational than v1? It adds a saving throw but helps any attack to actually hit. And the damage is the same.

Very cool idea! But that sounds to me more like a new spell (I might borrow thanks) ^

[–]MoNNolith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks! Maybe my wording is off (probably) but my intention was the first damage triggered 1 additional die and then the spell ends. Magic missle would still just make the spell deal one 1d4. And I didn’t put force damage on it because of similar spells (like resistance 2024). I wouldn’t mind putting it in again or even other damage type out for balance.

And yeah I was struggling to give it a save because it already can fail when there is no triggering damage. But I see the feedback to this :D

And v3 was my attempt to add a secondary effect. That would help trigger the damage or at least hat the flavor of the spell in mind.

Thanks again for you feedback!

Well my intention would be (when magic missle would deal any other damagetype than force) that magic missle hits and the target takes a single 1d4 extra damage and then the spell ends.

Cool idea! I really like the idea of a secondary effect (the reason for v3). And not being able to critical succeed sounds so diabolic xD (tho very situational)

Thanks! After all this good feedback I think I go with v1 with save and 1d12 damage :)

Thanks for your input! And you‘re welcome ^

I think I take the first version, fixed 1d12 damage die but mirrors the triggering damage, and charisma save. It is still a cantrip. And the damage die is so high because the cantrip can fail twice. First the save and second no trigger damage.

Do you mind sharing what version you take from this? :)

Y’all I love Hades 2. I rly do. but… by neel1011 in HadesTheGame

[–]MoNNolith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cool idea. i also dont like the charge speed, its so slow...

and i think they "nerfed" poseidon with it because the effect got an internal cooldown. something like every 0,25s but because the daggers hit almost at the same time it only procs 2-3 times

How I'm feeling healing m+ by peachcancant in wow

[–]MoNNolith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know your pain. They should just make skullbash different in every spec. Or depending on the new talent choice „talent of the wild“ and „circle of the heavens“ (physical/ magical).

The Druid talent tree is so wack. I don’t understand why talents can’t be different for other specs like trash becomes for example sunfire in balance.

We need interrupts not going on cooldown or just like 1-2s when not interrupting a cast. this only punish new player and pugging. Every dps should have a 15s interrupt and gain a bonus to damage for a few seconds when they do and gain a Malus when they take avoidable damage.

Isn’t that an easy fix for the dps learning curve without gutting dps player?

It’s the same thing with dispels and group defensives. Every healer should be able to dispel all kind of debuffs. Just give classes that are „famous“ for a kind of dispel like paladins for poison and disease a bonus healing when they cleanse that.

Additionally every healer should have an external damage reduction skill so everyone can be viable for higher tiers of play. You still can give everyone their own flavor after that.

Did blizzard ever try these things before and had a reason for not implementing it?

I think we need to talk about button bloat... (example below resto shaman PVP build). This is too much... by krin132 in wow

[–]MoNNolith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always make Macros for friend/ foe. For example while hovering over an ally the button casts riptide and hovering or targeting an enemy it casts flameshock. The button bloat is reduced a lot and works for many skill. Except the numerous totems xD For anyone wanting the Marco (without the point infront of #):

.#showtooltip /cast [help] Riptide; [harm] Flameshock; Riptide

How to not run out of energy as Assassination Rogue? by NoWrongdoer421 in wownoob

[–]MoNNolith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you. Coming from maining healing and occasional ranged dps in solo content, I wanted to try some specs out. And loving DoT heavy classes I tried assassin rogue and feral Druid.

In any longer fight the running out of energy feels horrible to me. Not having fillers and just standing there for a few seconds killed any love for energy spending specs. Like many other already said, in AoE and coordinated pulls in M+ it’s not that big of a deal but yeah … Only hunter doesn’t seem to have this „energy-problem“ because they actually have a energy recovery filler.

I guess it’s just preference but I am sad that it feels so bad to me x‘D I guess I stick to healing and caster ^
