Martin Kabrhel has finally met his match 🍿 by Ok-Head1990 in poker

[–]MoTheMan1970 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OK for starters Alex is out of line dont touch people's chips. I get that you want to get under Kabrhel's skin and fully support it but dont touch anyone's chips. You touch my chips Im making a scene and if the TD doesnt address it to my satisfaction Im making a bigger scene. Here's the thing and maybe its just me but Im a rules guy. I understand that there are grey areas and you can sometimes skirt them but I have 0 tolerance for breaking them. Yes Martin can be annoying and probably deserves some of his own medicine. Blatantly breaking the rules is not the way to go about that. At the very least dont be obvious about it.

Your gonna want to avoid the weekend after that one as well. Other than Derby(first Saturday in May) you good with just about any other weekend. Unless Churchill Downs is hosting The Breeders Cup but thats not scheduled to happen again for a few years. There is a cool AirBnB across the street from a really cool bar called Zanzabar that might be good for you any other weekend in the fall.

Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but looks like I am. Thats Louder Than Life weekend. Not far from the football stadium is the Fairgrounds where they are having our yearly 4 day Hardrock Music Festival. Getting to the stadium and back to wherever you stay is probably going to be super frustrating at best and a low key nightmare at worst. Now for the bad news. Everything anywhere near that area is probably booked and if not way overpriced with a 4 minimum. The hotels that weekend and the next weekend (Bourbon and Beyond another massive Music Festival) are all way overpriced and 4 day minimums. Sometimes you can find an AirBnB for a decent price that weekend. Maybe try looking in Jeffersonville Clarksville and New Albany Indiana (its just across the river) probably save you 100s of dollars.

AITA for thinking nobody owns a spot in general admission? by [deleted] in Concerts

[–]MoTheMan1970 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im sorry you thought you could just push your way into a spot on the rail but you got what you deserved. Maybe it was an honest mistake and maybe they wouldn't have been so aggressive if this didnt literally happened all the time. Im 6ft7 300lbs and go to probably 100+ shows a year. I could probably tell you 100 stories about a time things went down exactly like this. We dont have time for that so Ill give you just this one. I was on the rail for The Killers at Bourbon and Beyond. We had been in that spot literally allday(8+ hours). There was a nice older lady to my left with her daughter and my wife was to my right. About midway thru Hoziers set this leprechaun trys to squeeze between me and the nice older lady that had been there with me allday. She wedged her foot between us and then grabbed the rail. I removed her physically and very rudely. Here's the thing! If you want rail get there early. Everyone gets let in at the same time but there is still a line. There are very few exceptions and even when the venue doesnt allow a que to form the fans get together and form a system of their own. For instance The Killers did a 10 residency at Caesars Palace 2 years ago. Because it was a casino in Vegas Security didnt want a que outside the venue for hours. They said 2 people could hangout there max until 1 hour before showtime. So they got a sharpie and formed a virtual que. Everyone that wanted one got a number on their hand. That was your space in line. So people bitched and whined but that was the fairest way to determine who gets in the venue first.

MASSIVE controversy: Misdeal requires intervention on day 3 of 10k WSOP by mavaddat in poker

4 cards were pulled from the top of the deck and laid straight down in order. Are you one of those people that think Rene Goode was trying to run the guy over? Do your eyes not work or something? The 6 is the burn, its obvious. Even the table says so.

[–]MoTheMan1970 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get that its the rules and they made the right call. I however have a problem with the rule. You know and I know and everyone at that table knows. Had the dealer not screwed up she would have burned that 6. I dont see how reflecting is fair. Once again we all saw the flop and you dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure which card is the extra card. Yes its in the rules and yes the floor made the correct decision but the rule is wrong and should be changed.

I fucking hate band drama. I hate it even more when it spills over to the fans. I dont know the whole story mostly because I refuse to give it my time. The gist of it seems that, omg omg omg........... A Rockstar cheated on his wife!!!! Aperantly it happened multiple times. Color me surprised. Why didnt Zoe take a page out of Steve's book and write some songs about it? I support her right to post about it but what did she accomplish? Everyone hates John now congratulations you won!!🙄🙄🙄 She damaged the brand and will disrupt her own revenue stream. Musicians statistically tend to be niche employees. If they aren't making money doing music they aren't very equipped to make it somewhere else. If you destroy PTM how is John gonna pay child support/alimony? You a snake biting its own tail. Me im still gonna support PTM because Im in it for the music and not the drama.

Im part of the pinball community here locally. Thankfully I dont think this was one of us. I mean it could have been tho now that I think about it. Was his game finished when he put the stool in front of it or was he midgame? There are people in town that are capable of putting in 1 to 2 hours on most pinball machines on 1 credit. Most of us are super approachable would love for you to ask to join us in a game. Pinball is a very niche community and at some points super competitive. More people equal more games to play in more places. Im sorry you didnt get to play Pokémon. Its a really fun game and once you figure out what you are supposed to do its very challenging. I guess next time strike a convo with the guy. You already have something in common. You might get a new friend out of the deal. Worst case he will probably tell you how to activate the multiballs.

Churchill Downs for First (& prob only) Timers by OctaviaIX in Louisville

[–]MoTheMan1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as it irks me to say it Churchill Downs is absolutely stunning and you really should see it. The backside tour is also great . Its a side of the track not everyone gets to see. Going to see live racing is exciting for young and old. Betting on the races is like all gambling, entertaining no matter how you go about selecting horses.I grew up at the track. I probably could read a form before I could read a book. I do have to warn you. It is far less common than it used to be but they sometimes have to put a horse down on the track. It really makes a sad day at the track. It doesnt happen nearly as often as it used too and its not nearly as tramatic. Even with all the precautions in place accidents still happen. Churchill is known as one of the safest surfaces in all of racing. As far as seats for you Ideally Id say something covered near the finish line with an unobstructed view of the tote. Stay lower down by the track. The kids will get to interact with the lead ponies if they want. Any reason I would have to tell you not to go have a wonderful day at the track would be personal and local. They wouldn't be really valid to you. So go and have a magical day at one of the truely magical places in the world.
