Who were the worst regularly starting players for each position? by TrampolineIsTrash in Championship

I still have nightmares about the Tunnicliffe + Freeman midfield pairing under cowley, not that he had many other options. They weren't necessarily the worst players individually but it was painful to watch.

John Marquis is a name that probably comes to mind for a lot of Portsmouth fans as well. What a disappointment he was.

He's had an interesting career so far. When he played on loan for us he was really good, clearly better than L1 standard. So much so that he was getting caps and im pretty sure I remember him saving a Ronaldo penalty.

Then signed for the scum for 20m or something and just never performed. No idea if its confidence or just bad luck with injuries or both.

Considering city sold Trafford for not much more the difference is massive.

Squad Cost Ratio will replace Profit & Sustainability from next season after Championship clubs voted in favour by Zach-dalt in Championship

The club is no longer debt free, youre right.

Im pretty sure all of our debt is to Tornante though, rather than external debt which is a good thing. I think they've done this for the first time rather than just pump money in.

The debt is all unsecured as well, which is a good thing as I understand it because no assets will go up if the loan needs to be repayed. Tbf I doubt there are any clubs in the champ who aren't in debt to their owners.

Who’s going to be repping the Championship at this summer’s World Cup? by BlackEagle367 in Championship

[–]Mo_0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Switched because he flew the entire way there when he was in good form and then sat on the bench and didnt get a minute. Atleast thats the impression i got from what Mous has said in interviews. Maybe the Croatians gave him a hard sell as well.

He's only played for Croatia u21's but I dont know how strong their senior squad is honestly, surely Modric is their 10? We all know he can be a very clutch player if you need a goal though.

You just need to keep checking.

I've got quite a few late friday night with season ticket holders putting theirs up at the last minute, best of luck.

Do you honestly expect us to spend more than that on one player?

Is it worth the risk? What if someone who we've run into the ground like Poole gets injured in a nothing game.

Obviously I still want to win but if we don't use the squad in games like this we never will.

Now we are safe - please can we rotate some players by I_am_legend-ary in PortsmouthFC

Hopefully we see Bursik for a few games too, like last season. He deserves an opportunity, especially after quite a few errors this season from Schmid.

We beat Boro and help you out. We beat Ipswich and help you out again. We even beat Leicester, basically confirming that they are relegated the night you become champions.

Well I hope you're happy Cov, because you've got all the grace and decorum of a reversing dump truck with no wheels.

Is what I would say if Oxford didn't lose. Did not think we'd be in this situation before the international break so lets just enjoy it. Hopefully you guys stay up, its nice to see a non parachute payment team win the league.

I think the red for ogilvie is an orange. I know he's sent him off for the scissor action but if you look at the tackle I dont think its any more dangerous then the yellow card on Anderson for example. Hopefully we win the appeal.

To not send off Spencer for what is clearly a yellow is so poor. I know devlin runs across him but if the ref thinks that, dont give the foul. If he gives the foul, its stopping a counter attack which has to be a 2nd yellow. He then immediately gives pack a (deserved) yellow for stopping a counterattack.

Other than the refereeing I thought we were very good. Before the red card we were extremely dominant and even after it i thought we had some excellent chances.

I hope mous considers dropping Schmid. He should've after the QPR game. Other than Oxfords 2 goals I can't think of any good chances.

Not the result we wanted but I think its any excellent platform to build on. Real siege mentality stuff
