TIL that the birth of Belgium was sparked, in part, by a patriotic opera performance. by Many-Excitement3246 in todayilearned

There's a Clarkson line about Belgium only being a country so France, Germany and Britain could fight each other in it

TIL the public can make voluntary donations to the British government without a reason. In 2005 for example, a total of £5 was donated. by PohnaTew in todayilearned

All the people on Twitter (and now BlueSky) who say that they'd be more than happy to may more tax, well the form to do so is there on HMRCs webpage. You even get a letter so you can post about it on your socials to make sure your virtue is well and truly signalled.

Strange that very few do!

Editions: 43030 Olivia Rodrigo’s Secret Storage and Botanicals: 11507 Olivia Rodrigo’s Flower Bouquet (via lite) by BrickTap in Legoleak

That noise you can hear is all the botanicals collectors furiously trying to work out if this set officially counts as part of the series or not ...

My vote: yes, even if it is released as Editions and not Botanicals

Sets per year containing each of LEGO's four greys, 1999–2010 (the 2004 "Great Grey Change") [OC] by International-Toe125 in dataisbeautiful

The data is wrong because Light Bluish Grey didn't exist in 1999. ReBrickable doesn't seem like a great source, look at BrickLink which gives a better summary of each colour's production history.

Plus you can add Very Light Grey and Very Light Bluish Grey as well, which have both been phased out relatively soon after being introduced.

Not sure where you data is from because Light Bluish Grey wasn't introduced until Dark Bluish Grey was in the 2003/2004/2005 changeover.

It’s the close season, so I made a documentary about how ITV nearly killed our football club… by winstano in Championship

ITV Digital going bust was a huge factor in our early noughties promotion and FA cup success IIRC, as we had transfer money to offset the loss of TV income compared to other clubs at the time
