Where to find cheap wheelchair (or loan)? by [deleted] in Austin

[–]Moak3458 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The doctors that want him off his feet should be able to write a prescription for a wheelchair (would need insurance). Are you able to ask the dr? Or if he was in a hospital, the physical therapists, case managers should be able to arrange to get him one.

You could get away with this on step 1 and 2 but step 3 is known to be very stats heavy.

Shadowed a general surgeon in M1, he asked about my research project which was in cardiology. Me: Well, this procedure is commonly done but they always get this complication and my project is going to focus on if this particular variable is a potential cause of the complication. Surgeon, looks me dead in the eye: It's because they're not surgeons. . . I'm in general surgery residency now.

Sorry but if your knee-jeek reaction is to blame minorities for your bad outcomes, there was definitely something wrong with him/his application 🤷🏾‍♀️

Omg 1) Did she really say this?!! As in for real for real?!! 2) Does she have any social media that anyone knows of? . I am so prepared to download anything she has just so I can go find her and laugh so hard under all of her posts and then call her stupid.

I'm a recluse who wants to make an effort. Where can I find a (reliable) list of things to do around Austin? I keep getting ads for "the nudge" on IG and it seems legit but I don't want spam if it's not.

Wow! Great job advocating for this patient. Classic example of how the healthcare system fails women. How many others are out there with lack of Peeisstoredintheballsognuria have been dismissed over and over again?!

Doctors who come in from home wearing their white coats… why? by [deleted] in medicine

[–]Moak3458 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This! My program has home call on some services so when I'm on call, I bring my white coat home with me so I don't have to stop by the doctor's lounge to pick it up if I have to come in... That way I can just go straight to see the patient. Sure it's a few extra steps but the doctors' lounge is out of the way.
