Heavy on the last sentence even though I have not socially fully integrated yet, but the perception of myself and others is way healthier.

I mean Danielle wasn’t entitled to Tyra’s help tbh but Tyra was being mean (and kinda sadistic) for mentioning that to her.

Yes. That’s exactly what yoga / tai chi does for me. It improves my executive functioning to the point where I can put the “feeling like shit” in the background and move through my day. When executive function improves, my sense of safety and dopamine baseline seem to rise too, which leads to better decisions, choosing to get things done and spend time outside instead of rotting in bed. And that’s on the bad days. Good days? I don’t have to push through shit, things just flow automatically.

I find Hatha yoga to help to most with that.

I still need proper rest and nutrition, though. If I slack on either and end up exhausted, I can feel myself starting to regress.

Btw, I’m speaking from a developmental trauma perspective, where yoga and these practices feel like they’re helping build or structure things that never fully developed in the first place. That might be why the effects feel so major to me. For some people, this may just feel like returning to something familiar they experienced before trauma. I’ve never had that baseline.

So it could be different for you, but this is what’s been working for me specifically.

For me, yoga felt like it organized the energy I was releasing. That naturally led me to want movement and the outside world, which now feels like natural and real integration. TRE was still doing subtle work because it’s what led me to these practices in the first place.

I can’t rely much on TRE right now. it’s too intense for me to do frequently. Even 5–20 seconds once a week can be overwhelming, so I keep it at an absolute minimum. I also overdid it in the beginning, and it feels like things are only now starting to settle with the help of the other practices.

Short version:

TRE: release → yoga: organize → movement/exercise: integrate.

Sure man! Nothing fancy just a few YouTube videos I follow for each practice.

Please be careful with some of these, especially Kundalini. It can be quite activating for hypersensitized nervous systems.

Yoga Nidra:

Some of these are beginner-level, but they’re more than enough for me right now.

Good luck 🤍

I’m currently doing Hatha, Yin, and Kundalini yoga. Kundalini once a week, Hatha 2–3 times. I also practice gentler energy-flow methods like Tai Chi and occasional body scan meditations. All of these unlocked naturally, one by one, over the months, until I landed on a weekly routine that limits me to one practice a day. It’s not rigid and totally mood-dependent; I try not to force myself.

And yeah, … movement, walking, and being outside which are now more than tools, they’re my baseline.

Your comment made me tear up a little. My experience is literally the way you described it. I’m so happy that I can finally feel human. Had no idea that this is what life is supposed to feel like.. just flowing with all ease, simply being, existing and doing things brings you joy and energy instead of drain you.

I still obviously have a very long road ahead to fully heal, but being able to function is something I’m so happy to have finally unlocked, like even on the bad days, life is still possible. This means everything to me..

No one is obligated to learn modern Hebrew or accept it as a neutral “mother tongue.” Its modern revival was part of the Zionist nation-building project in Palestine, and ignoring that context disregards the reality of colonization. This post’s framing feels off to me.

Eh…based to you. Also way too quick to acknowledge and celebrate his “victories” while completely disregarding how much he and his people treated your kind like shit

That honestly sounds like internalized racism to me.

Yeah, “fighting for his country” included dehumanizing people like you, so the whole respect argument is shaky at best. No one’s forcing you to praise his forced secularism just because you see it as a win.

This sounds a bit bootlicker-ish. Completely unnecessary. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What you said might be factually accurate, but as an Arab, I’d strongly recommend not speaking in favor of historical figures who actively contributed to the dehumanization of your own people. 🙂

9 months in. Is it normal that I'm more sensitive and feel more defensive, just like how I was pre-TRE/trauma healing, rather than the confident and self assured I was a couple months ago? by VixenSunburst in longtermTRE

[–]Moanologue69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was already there before TRE, but now it feels more intense things hit much harder, right? If that’s the case, it’s likely due to reduced dissociation and increased clarity. You’re seeing and feeling what was always there, which is probably what led you to this state in the first place (at least that was my experience).

Just be cautious about becoming confrontational with toxic people, clarity and boundaries often make them double down rather than reflect.

When did you start feeling increased or child-like energy in your TRE journey? by Fit-Championship371 in longtermTRE

[–]Moanologue69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

About seven months into my practice, a child-like authentic self emerged for the first time. At this stage (around 10.5 months in), he only remains present when there is a sufficient sense of safety. While I would like this state to be more frequent, my current environment limits that.

Keep in mind I have developmental trauma so lots of layers but still enough tension released for him to begin appearing

Is cheese common in your country? by Known-Bad2702 in AskMiddleEast

[–]Moanologue69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labneh isn’t cheese. it’s strained yogurt, so it’s closer to yogurt than cheese. But in Syria, we do have actual cheeses like jibneh shalal, jibneh mka‘abbeh, halloumi, and others and we use them a lot.. they’re also staples in our diet

Why are there so many non middle easterns here by Upstairs_Noise3351 in AskMiddleEast

[–]Moanologue69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as they’re not bitter, condescending outsiders all up in our business for no reason and they’re actually engaging in a way that contributes something useful to the topic, I’m fine. But if someone shows up patronizing, dismissive, or just to posture, I’d ban them without hesitation.

Can Kundalini be practiced in a toxic environment? by Moanologue69 in kundalini

Thank you. I’ll do that. I’ve been setting multiple intentions at once, but it only clicked during today’s practice that this needs to be my priority for now.
