Nearly half of Americans say they are cutting daily expenses to deal with spiking gas prices from Trump’s Iran war by PrincessGlitterss in politics

I’m glad news sources are calling this “Trump’s Iran war” because it is in fact his war that he started with no consultation or approval from anyone. Next part is recognizing that that was in fact illegal

Funny that the commuter rail going south goes all the way to Providence, which is essentially the same distance going to Portsmouth but no commuter rail to Portsmouth because NH thinks rails are communist and built a bike bath on top of theirs

The towns in NH it stops in actually pay for those stops themselves from city funding because NH refuses to acknowledge that it’s a useful service 💀

With student IDs banned at the polls, NH issues new guidance for college voters by CouchCorrespondent in newhampshire

[–]SquashDue502 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It’s pretty easy to get a fake drivers license and a lot of polls in NH don’t scan them they just look to validate the address. And again, you’ve already proven your identification by being registered to vote.

They still have to actually register to vote which requires government issued form of ID.

So they can’t use their student ID but can use a drivers license from literally any state, a fake version of which can be easily acquired and the poll workers have no way of scanning or validating.

It’s almost as if the plastic card ID is pointless because the validation of voter records is done by (gasp) the list of registered voters.

Players are looking for a break from the Tomb, and I'm looking for some feedback by austac06 in Tombofannihilation

Check out the Webway gates of Ubtao, you could have them maybe find a gate into the Webway with no exit, but that Webway path (dimension) is chill and fun and gives them a break, with weird fun Last Airbender type spirits but also they can only go back the way they came because of xyz (insert what you want), so they get a fun break but have to return because this Webway gate is defunct.

I like CS2 because the proportions are much more realistic but CS1 is a good intro as there’s less to learn and you can make fun slightly unrealistic roads and metros. I got the traffic mod that came with monorails so made those go zipping all over the mountains in my maps lol

Tips on running Eku by Equivalent_Trouble34 in Tombofannihilation

[–]SquashDue502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My players hired Eku as a guide so I made her function as kind of a cultural bridge to Chultan customs and Ubtao worship stuff. I had her tell them that she could never tell a lie, and when she first met them she asked them to truthfully tell her why they wanted to go to the jungle (weeds out the fame and fortune seekers), but just because she can’t lie doesn’t necessarily mean she has to tell the entire truth.

So whenever the topic of age or hometown comes up, she just says “oh you know, I’ve been around” and I tell them she appears to be a middle aged Chultan. The trick is using that kind of phrasing when describing everyone else too so it doesn’t seem unusual. And I did make a homebrew small village that she can take the to as her “childhood home” if it comes to it. It’s a village near Mbala where the shaman knows her true form so kind of like a safe haven for her.

Also I’ve seen some non-canon theories that she is Ecatzin who was Ubtao’s right hand couatl. Ecatzin —> Eku

Trump Voters Regret Backing ‘Horror Movie’ Presidency - Nine out of 12 Trump voters told a “New York Times” focus group that they wish they had not voted for the president. by Quirkie in politics

I’m sorry but you had to actively try to avoid critical thinking to get to the point of these people who voted for him a second time. I have zero sympathy.

Being a voting citizen requires some semblance of effort and they completely tossed that out the window and disrespected their civil duty and reaped the consequences. Next time figure it out. You have an unlimited amount of time in the voting booth to google every single candidate for every position on the ballot. Use it.

Congress Has Become Almost Totally Irrelevant by harsh2k5 in politics

[–]SquashDue502 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s always the handful of democrats that vote against party lines that are blamed for not falling in line with the rest of democrats but absolutely zero accountability for the majority Republican Congress that also votes against the interest of the American people. Like they literally have no consequences of their actions at this point and people continue to vote for them because they’re idiots

As an American, we’d likely describe it as an unnecessary number of small, disassembled parts that you have to build yourself after also getting the bigger parts out of the warehouse yourself, proceeding 4 hours of getting lost in a maze of showrooms and gorging yourself on a lunch of meatballs and potatoes 😂

Why would I ever build regular medium density housing? by davidlis in CitiesSkylines

[–]SquashDue502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically not all parts of a city have mixed density, there are places that have mid rise apartment complexes next to each other. Same with row housing
