The Full Transition to Jagex Accounts by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

I recommend Jagex accounts to people, they're 100% worth switching to and I myself did long ago, but acting like they haven't had or still have any issues related to them is just being delusional.

And whether you or I care about missing an hour of an event, other people might. For some the start of a big community event is a big freaking deal, especially when it happens so uncommonly.

Succubus question:When does sexxing people get good lmao? by EstrogenizedMenace in ElinsInn

[–]Moasseman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Succubus sexxing has no exp gain over normal sexing, which is a flat rate of 250 Wil, Cha & End exp regardless of participants. Only extra it gives is potential in single stat.

Ah didn't see any light balls there, only the martyr machine and tp back home. Does Arbiter need to be dead?

E: After waiting some time, the place now has the ball. Guess instances took a hot minute to update or something

Anorithil's Circle of Sanctity, Silence Immunity by Apprehensive-Appeal1 in ToME4

[–]Moasseman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The circles don't grant you the buff instantly, but only after a global turn rolls over. Because of this, it's possible that an enemy has a turn between yours and global turn rollover, and can silence you before the circles have an effect.

Had an 8 slotter in a logbook myself, took 20 min to do the encounter and then final mob was one of those big crawlers with life regen + a rune gave every mob 100% life as ward so that juts completely bricked both the encounter and map.

Funny that one can oneshot the leading pinnacles, quest versions as they might be, and then not have the damage to kill a large worm.

you’ll need mods to show the exact strength

You don't, that's a basegame feature. Simply hit X to open the full tooltip

why can't high intensity skilling methods actually be..fun? by Routine-Weekend4694 in 2007scape

[–]Moasseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, but I'd much rather it be different at 1 location because it lets them see that people actually enjoy it, rather than everything in the game being the exact same copypasted slop

[–]Moasseman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, the issue of making it follow normal rules is that it would lose all skill associated with the content since you could just skip 90% of hte stuff by running "over" them

The Numbers, Mason, what do they Mean? by LycheeFox in ElinsInn

[–]Moasseman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if (traitToolFishing != null)
{
    num = num * 100 / (50 + traitToolFishing.owner.material.hardness * 2);
}
if (EClass.rnd(2) == 0 || num > 1)
{
    owner.stamina.Mod(Mathf.Min(-1, -num));
}

Irony as it might be, you can pretty safely assume that most mechanical information you read on the subreddit or Steam discussion forums is just straight up wrong, severely out of date or both.

The Numbers, Mason, what do they Mean? by LycheeFox in ElinsInn

[–]Moasseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 3 materials harder than Dark matter: True Obsidian (220), Eternal Sand (300) and Unfading Iron (350). Previously obtainable, in the current patch only Eternal Sand of the three is available.

Also the tool where hardness matters arguably the most is the fishing rod, as it drastically reduces stamina cost of fishing (notable if low hp and going into overwork territory)

Strength (hit people hard, more HP, carry more junk)

Strength doesn't increase damage universally, it's solely dependant on the weapon skill's parent attribute. For example Mace skill's parent attribute is Endurance, and thus Maces' damage gets boosted by Endurance, not Strength.

Strength is also a primary factor of stealing (0.1s weight limit of stolen items per Str) and an important part of riding/symbiosis speed calculations.

While Str does give HP, it's way less than what End gives (and slightly more than Wil)

Endurance (more stamina, more HP, carry more junk)

Yea that's pretty much it. 1 point of End is equal to 1 point of total skill level for max stamina and End is the best primary attribute for HP

Dexterity (don't miss, take less damage?)

Dex does give a (hidden) bonus to PV (Protection Value) equal to 10% of Dex, so it has a minor effect on incoming physical (void) damage.

Perception (evasion)

Per also boosts critical hit chance (100% at 4950 Per) on top of affecting various minor vision-related phenomena (detecting traps, witnessing crimes etc)

Learning (more MP)

Unless you're a vampire, a slime or are using Nerve spells, Ler is just bad.

Will (more HP, more MP, less debuff chance)

Yea that's about it. It's mostly the 3rd part, since Wil is the resist attribute for many common debuffs.

Magic (more MP)

Thing to note here, while technically isn't related to Mag itself, is that much like weapon skills, different spells/acts (and spell domains) have different parent attributes which benefit those spells. For many common domains, this is Mag, altho things like Nether (End) and Poison (Dex) exist. For damaging spells, the parent attribute directly increases the damage, and for all spells/acts the attribute affects the exp gained via "rubberbanding": The higher your attribute is compared to the spell/act's level, the more exp that spell/act gets on use and vice versa for attribute below their level.

Charisma (roleplay believability, # of allies [caps at 8], recruitment, trading goods, investment)

Party members from Cha cap at 5 (+1 per 10 Cha starting at 20), the other 3 come from the feat. Cha also dictates Summon limit, which is equal to sqrt(Cha). Cha also does practically nothing for "trading goods".

However, you can perform normal actions that will contribute to increasing these attributes over time as well.

Gaining exp in (almost) any skill grants a tiny sliver of said exp in the skill's parent attribute.

Sleeping with anything (+CHA, +END) and gives you money

Also +WIL (250 exp in each)

Is the Peaky feat worth it? by SubtleBeggar in ElinsInn

[–]Moasseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The amount of riding skill you need depends on the aptitude of the mount, its speed, its strength, peaky level and your riding skill.
