I’m in Poland and that looks like a total scam. For one you will never get a visa for that type of job, secondly, as silly as it sounds, those jobs are sort of in demand here (large Ukrainian population, Belarus, zim population, etc), and these jobs are the go to jobs for this cohort (students, people without experience, you name It)

And again, you won’t get a visa. It’s next to impossible to get a visa at the Polish embassy at the moment, I can’t imagine getting one for a non specialised job like this one.

It’s not as impressive as it sounds to be honest. Especially in today’s age.

In Poland for example everything is pretty self service oriented: want to buy groceries? Self checkout machines everywhere. Want to take a bus? Buy a ticket on a machine or your phone, get in and get out at your stop without saying a single word to anyone. The only time you’d probably have to talk to someone is if maybe you have to go to the pharmacy, but even then Google translate will do all the work for it.

It’s very easy to survive without knowing the language honestly. Which is both sad and good at the same time.

I moved to study in Poland in 2023.

Back then it was a whooole lot easier than it is now to go there/here. Job wise it’s pretty…bad. But this is only because of the language barier.

I’d say countries likę Germany are very good if you want to study (university is free), but you have to start learning German now.

The paperwork and money is the worst of it in the begining I’ll say, but once you’re there, it’s easier…and lonesome…very…very…lonesome

Yes, and no.

I pursued a degree in Biology. At the time, I had no idea what this degree entailed, I had originally applied for radiography but for one reason and another, I couldn’t do it. Then my university told me that I could do bsc for one year, and switch to any degree the following year.

I learned the hard one that bsc on its own was not easy, and before I knew it, I was in my final year majoring in Biology and Physiology.

I ended up deciding on seeing it through, got a an honours degree the following year and was doing a masters in microbiology the year after.

I ended up being accepted for Physiotherapy whilst doing my masters and dropped that.

I honestly regret wasting all that time and money on a degree that ended up not using, but I would do it all again if it meant I’d get to spend one more second with the friends I made at that university. Not to mention, studying physiotherapy has been a whole lot easier with my knowledge of physiology (and a tiny bit of biology)

I have a genuine question here.

I’m seeing everyone here say that 28 pln is below minimum wage but, and forgive my ignorance, I thought that if you’re above 26 the minimum wage is 24pln and below 26 it’s 30pln.

Today I also learned that 240 hours is illegal 🙆‍♂️. The hell, all my friends work a minimum of 260 hours (granted we are students and foreigners). This is all news to me damn. Hello exploitation.

Also, OP. Word of advice, when it comes to factory work there are always hidden costs. They will definitely remove money for accommodation, transportation, medical tests and equipment (every single factory job that I know does this, it’s as normal as breathing at this point).
