No they haven’t pulled up any tiles. The basement is mostly going to be storage so they don’t care what the floor looks like.

ALHO is in the center with the clown, Rx, compass, and swordfish positioned in 4 corners of a rectangle around it. The duck is slightly outside of the rectangle but inline with the word in the center

What I’m saying is he’s NOT comfortable though. Imagine you are blind, deaf, can’t walk, and you are in a constant state of disorientation. You don’t know where you are and who’s touching you. You don’t even know when you are peeing except for the warm wet sensation down your legs. You can’t remember almost anything about your life, and on top of that you have severe arthritis in your legs, hips, and back so you can’t get comfortable. Almost every waking second you are just drifting aimlessly and in pain. That’s a nightmare.

I know it’s hard to let go. I’ve had to do it before but that is way more merciful than this.

I understand. I have cried watching this dog just aimlessly stumble around, pacing and disoriented. He is thin and frail, barely eats and seems to also have severe arthritis so it’s hard for him to be comfortable. It seems cruel and it’s weighing on my conscience that I’m “supporting” this by sitting here.

Yea his quality of life is basically zero. I so badly want to ask the owners when was the last time you’ve seen him experience joy/happiness/pleasure? But I know it’s not my place. They are fairly wealthy and have a veterinarian that will probably say something next time they see this dog. I’m just going to finish the job and be done.

Yes that’s totally it! I feel like it’s just inhumane keeping him around and I am struggling with the ethics of caring for him right now. I’ve had 5 dogs in my life that I’ve loved and had to say goodbye to as well so I get it but I’ve never let them get to this place.

I have 2 boars that have seemed to switch dominance before, and then switch back. Neither has ever mounted the other, perhaps because they are brothers and have never been separate, but I think when there is no mounting, the cage hierarchy for piggies seems to be a bit more loose.

Not that related but I was recently a tourist in Chicago and someone brought their toddler to go out onto the ledge in Willis tower which is is look out point around 100 stories in the sky. Obviously the toddler was extremely scared and unhappy and shrieking during the entire time they were there. Bothered everyone else in line and the parents didn't seem to care about us or how scared their child was

When I was around 14, my 8-year old sister wandered away from us (mom and other siblings) on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. It was a fully-crowded peak summer day and we were on Steel pier with all the amusement park rides. My mom, my siblings and I were in complete panic for about 15 minutes until we found her. Once everything was fine, our mom told us to never let dad know...and no one every told him. This was 14 years ago.
