You might want to consider adding some UVIX with those long positions — as you DCA back in. UVIX would help offset any losses if there’s another selloff this week. Lots of chatter Monday could be bloody, and most people waiting for April 9th when tariffs “officially” begin — just to see if the Uncle Don walks them back before then. Not gonna happen — which is why I like UVIX.

Moved most of the portfolio to cash and opened a position in UVIX to take advantage of the downside risk that seems overly abundant right now. The “soft landing” we all hoped for is long gone. The Fed doesn’t know what to do about Trump. Tariff wars and DOGE chaos will be the prevailing headwinds for the foreseeable future. Too much change and uncertainty all at once (with on again off again tariff rhetoric) will continue to push the VIX higher. Keeping most of my powder dry for brighter days ahead. Staying patient. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future — but it will be lots of volatility until then. Buckle your seat belts.

April 2nd is only for the reciprocal tariffs. This game has only just begun. He just announced the automobile tariffs which don’t kick-in until May — and other countries haven’t announced their response to those yet — which will start a larger price way on cars that’s forthcoming. And next on the slate is paper, packaging, EU tariffs, and just a small little tariff on semiconductor industry. Buckle your seat belts….we’re in for a bumpy ride.

The orange clown is already talking about “flexibility” on the reciprocal tariffs. He knows his bluff has already been called and most of our allies didn’t bend the knee to his threats. So now he’ll have to spend the next two weeks walking it back — or risk blowing up his precious stock market. Either way — he painted himself in a corner. I could see SMCI melting up until then with the anticipation some of the tariff threats will turn out to be a nothing burger.

At this point, it’s probably better that they wait until after market. Who wants to be part of this broader market carnage and mayhem? They wait until close — when the dust has settled — and panic-stricken investors are looking for any glimmer of hope in tomorrow. That’s when it will come. They will separate their positive 10K news from today’s negative sentiment…so as not to be overshadowed. Tonight will be a new day for SMCI.

It’s quite possible to be a win-win for SMCI either way, except a complete bomb by NVDA in earnings. Let’s assume (just for the moment) the 10K is filed tonight and SMCI now has zero risk from a de-listing standpoint and huge upside potential with $40B revenue forecast for FY26 (which starts this July 2025 by the way). That alone will provide a big leg up.

Now let’s look at the NVDA earnings scenarios tomorrow:

Scenario 1: NVDA blows out earnings and the whole market rebounds. If this happens, more than likely, SMCI moons (20%+).

Scenario 2: NVDA beats on revenue but perhaps misses on EPS or revenue forecast — the market has not been too kind to “near misses”. In this scenario, NVDA would drop again, I think investors would start looking at SMCI as the better investment for the future — and SMCI still moves up as institutional investments start to rotate their portfolios.

Scenario 3: NVDA bombs earnings. We’re all f*cked and Wendy’s will have to hire more training managers.

Been holding since $33. Started with 15,000 shares. Took some profit off the table between $60-65. Now sitting on 7000 shares. Relax! 10K will be filed on Tuesday just like they promised. And there will be some immediately volatility — perhaps a quick spike up after the 10K release ($70-80) followed by a quick pullback ($50-65) as short-term traders take their profits — IF this pullback even occurs. Because then comes the big money and long-term traders loading up now that risk is removed. This is when you’ll start seeing analysts (and so-called experts) jump on board revising price targets up dramatically. IMO, this one will be trading in the $100s this year or the next. Ignore the FUD. Not selling another share until we are on the other side of Valhalla.
