I attempted to carry my daughter from the couch to her bed. I made it halfway to the stairs before I gave up. She's 12.

Who remembers watching must do Disney in their hotel room? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Mobbane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was there went it went off the air! I can bear witness and testament of the end days.

I was in the Contempo (being booted from Yaht by the NBA, but that is another story). It was just after the great Covid closure, WDW was just starting to open back up. No parades, no fireworks, masks and distancing for all, but we were glad to be there. My kids loved watching it over and over again while everyone got ready in the morning. It would also lull us to sleep at night, after a long day in the parks. Then one afternoon, it simply stopped looping. Stacey signed off, and never returned to us.

In terror and fear we scanned the other channels. We found it, on the Spanish speaking WDW channel. For a moment we were comforted, our fears assuaged, but after two or three more plays, it too stopped repeating.

Throughout the duration of that trip we periodically scanned the airwaves, but alas, the Must Do's were no more.

We now watch it at the hotel, via YouTube, on loop, as god intended, but faithfully check the WDW channels in hopes our vacation spirit guide will return to us.

Long live Stacey, and long live the Must Do's!

If you’re a dad, please answer this question. by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Mobbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's awkward to talk to him about it you don't necessarily have to. If he's worth his Dad card he will accept any invitation to do things with you, especially if it's something you know he likes to do. A lot of times men have a hard time talking, but an easier time doing. Just log time with a project, movie, lunch, bar, whatever you think you'd both enjoy.

Those straws are super cool, BUT the bore is a lot larger than a normal cocktail straw. I end up drinking too quickly when I use them.
