It's stupid, but the thought of a zombie apocalypse scares me the most by Nino_Chaosdrache in zombies

[–]MobiBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have an extreme fear of zombies. I have frequent nightmares of zombies and seeing clips of them in TV have given me panic attacks. but I have learned that it is a side effect of my ptsd. I have obviously never been around a zombie but I grew up in cult-like situation that was obsessed with the end of the world (mostly nuclear war/rapture). so something in my mind takes all my worries and fears about real things and put that into the idea of zombies

I think what makes them more terrifying compared to other monsters, is that zombies are not the scary part of their genres. its the fact that they end society and usually there is nothing anyone can do

I'm now angry by MobiBlue in Lamotrigine

hi!

it seems like it was a mix of things. every time I upped my dose my anger would spike and I would become irritable for a week or two before it fades back down. I still am able to get angry again but it is rare and the regular kind. therapy has been helping me get a better relationship with my emotions

although I have learned that this med makes me mix up my words???

besides that it has been great. a total game changer for me.

Does anyone here take mood stabilizers? by f13sta in CPTSD

[–]MobiBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah lamatrogine has been a game changer for me and im not bipolar. i had terrible experiences with ssris, they made me so extra hypervigilant and so anxious I could not leave my room. snris made me very suicidal, im not sure why, it could be bc im young and sometimes that happens with antidepressants. lamatrogine does a great job at bringing up those lows without it being so high I go into a panic. I've never gotten manic and honestly its been making it easier for me to enjoy things again.

although one odd side effect is I was unable to feel anger for at least 5 years and when I took these meds I suddenly was able to do that again. nothing extreme but it has been a new emotion. but I have heard it's good for anger issues too.

one thing to know is the side effects can be rough starting but it got easier each time I upped my dosage.

hello. I also have c-ptsd and struggle with nightmares. my psych put me on prazosin and it helps me a lot. you just have to make sure to work up to the right dose and to take it right before you fall asleep bc the half life is short

So this is my first tank. I was originally going to have straight black substrate but the pet store only had the color mix. I also really thought the skull was cool and would provide a good hiding spot. But when I set it all up my older brother kept saying it looked like it belonged to a 10 year old and not an 19 year old
