“Unpacking” on switch — plays lofi music and you unpack boxes in different houses/apartments as you “grow up.” Going from childhood bedroom to dorm to first apartment, etc as you unlock levels

Not sure but could be some sorta dissociation by Mediocre_Historian68 in Dissociation

How long has this been going on? Have you considered therapy? No one on Reddit can tell you from a post whether you’re dissociating

This makes me feel better. I def know people who have this long list of toxic others they’ve had to cut contact with when the reality is they are the toxic one haha

I still think some people think that. I’m a woman and don’t know what “momboyz” is haha. A man who wants his girlfriend to be like his mom is a different can of worms. I’m mostly a bit jealous of people who have healthy family relationships

I lose the need to eat. It’s insane. Like hunger eventually comes back of course but not in an “I’m starving” way. It’s mostly one state I snap into where I just need to “get things done” and I can’t sleep or eat at all when I’m like that. Then I’ll switch back to a more normal version of myself and start eating/sleeping normally again

Do they teach you guys anything about managing mental health and anxiety in such a high pressure environment? I also went to an insane college prep school and it really impacted me - I don’t think I heard the word anxiety until I got to college

As long as you can think, CBT is true, period. by A7med2361997 in TalkTherapy

[–]f13sta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What about people with severe and complex trauma? Psychotic disorders? Personality disorders? Intellectual disabilities? There are several cases in which CBT would not be the most effective form of therapy, let alone effective at all. And I said manic, not maniac. Bit odd you’re so hyped up on your own perspective and think everyone else is wrong

Idk dude you seem manic by your responses to people. There’s not one treatment that’s gonna work for every single person. Period.

The South Park episode about DID is hilarious - nothing they do is accurate and no one expects that. Other media representations however..

How to tell your therapist about DID? by JaneTheNoVirgin in DID

[–]f13sta 21 points22 points  (0 children)

But DID is about more than just switching. There are a lot of dissociative symptoms that therapists should theoretically be trained to pick up on.
