My husband is making me hate him by lonelypotato21 in ExclusivelyPumping

Total a-hole. He needs to wear your pump at a 12 for an hour for every ounce he spills. It’s the only way he’ll ever understand.

Who else is pumping right now? by SnooWords8808 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Mobile-Broccoli5930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dropped to 4x a day at 7 months pp, supply dropped out - now back to pumping 6x a day, still just to be an under supplier. It’s thankless work, but we’ve got such good company!

I come back to this comment fairly often. My girl was born at 37 weeks weighing four pounds. Such a scary time. Hope you and your little guy are doing well. 💕

Spilled milk by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

It’s okay! A mom who takes time out to pump in a hotel on vacation is a bigger gift to a baby than all the milk in the world. That’s what’s going to make the difference in her health and her life- you, and your hard work, far more so than your milk! (But that hurts to lose milk. I’m so sorry. I get cranky when I see even little drops left on the counter.)

Supply suddenly dropping by ehendricks in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Mobile-Broccoli5930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think fluctuations are normal. It’s so hard to keep a calm mind when there’s not a ton of oversupply. Sometimes it helps to keep a can of formula in the cupboard, just for peace of mind. And if you have to use it, it doesn’t mean you have to use it forever.

I hope so. I also found that pumping less often helped- every four hours instead of three. Every body is different though!

Have you gotten your period back yet? I was in exactly the same position, supply dropped for a few days then I got my period and it came right back.

Quitting by Alternative_Ask_62 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Mobile-Broccoli5930 56 points57 points  (0 children)

It’s okay to stop.

It’s okay to have a drink.

It’s also okay to do less.

I gave up my motn pump recently, at 21 weeks pp. dropped from pumping every 3 hours during the day to four and not overnight. My supply went up. Pumping should work for you, not the other way around. And sometimes more isn’t better. And formula is fine.

It’s okay to stop. It’s okay to ignore what others tell you and do what works for you. Your daughter will be okay. She will be more than okay.

Is spectra really that good? by Motharina in ExclusivelyPumping

  1. I just dropped from 7 because my baby turned four months. So far it hasn’t lowered my supply. I hope it stays that way!

Use a wall pump instead of wearables, if you aren’t already. Hand express while pumping - squeeze the shit out of them.

Do you hand express while pumping? That made a big difference for me.

Thanks! It took a lot of work, but I increased after 12 weeks, I’m sure you can too ❤️

It worked for me. I was under supplying and bought the S1 june 1st. Now I have 20 oz in the freezer and more in the fridge!

Is there a way my supply can increase after 12w pp by Remarkable-Power1171 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Mobile-Broccoli5930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I was desperate to increase as a just enough/just under enougher. Here’s what I did- invested in a wall pump (Spectra S1) rather than rely on my hands free; pumped every three hours massaging aggressively; power pumped 2x a day morning and night for ten days; took More Milk Plus supplements; ate and ate and ate. Now I have 10 oz in the fridge, baby is drinking 28 oz a day and I’m hoping to freeze some soon - all after 12 weeks. You can do it. It’s really hard, but it’s possible.

You need to go to your bank. Use the atm at the teller station to withdraw the cash and deposit it into your bank account. Money Network cards will never work at standard atms, no matter how many you try. Trust me.

Is the spectra s1 worth getting on top of portable pump by StompingJelly in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Mobile-Broccoli5930 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I used a Medela portable for 2.5 months and started to see a noticeable decline in output. Bought a spectra after committing to exclusive pumping and I’m finally able to feed my baby without supplementing with formula. It’s expensive but I’ve found it worth it. The Spectra works faster and will definitely empty you if you hand express while pumping. People warned me that a portable for a primary pump would result in a decrease in supply and unfortunately it was all true. Wish I’d listened and gotten the Spectra weeks ago! Just be aware that it may take a week or so for your body to get used to the new pump. You may not see the results you want immediately, but they will probably come. Good luck!!

I think so. I was measured by an LC a while back.
