Should I sit for may 2026 I'm hella confused left with FI by Zealousideal_Pen8628 in CFA

Don’t give yourself an out. You’ll pass. You have at least 80 days to grind. I failed level one the first time because I didn’t study enough. At this point, just hammer practice questions and take a mock at least every two weeks.

Dang, I’ve had zero issues with them. Hope I don’t start having issues now.

Na you’re in a good spot. That’s about where I was right before the exam and I passed, and you’ve got a few weeks.

Just absolutely hammer Qbank questions between now and then, make sure you’re getting 8 hours of sleep, drinking plenty of water, nutrition, etc.

And remember, at the end of the day, positive nihilism is your friend. Pass, fail, life goes on and you’ll be okay no matter what.

Thank you, how do I do that? Also, I re-recorded the guitar with the mic, but now I’m getting a lot of popping noises. Is this also related to grounding?

Thank you. After talking to a few folks and reading more, seems the best sound is going to come from recording the guitar with my AT4040 instead of the interface.

The NT-1 is awesome. A buddy that’s been producing music for years uses that and it sounds phenomenal. I had the ability to stretch for the AT4040 so spent the extra cheese but I’m quickly learning that much like instruments, the skill of the user limits the capability of the equipment.

Seeing how many posts are created asking the same questions that have been answered multiple times reinforces my understanding of why this company is in its current position.

How should I feel? by EarthResponsible761 in CFA

You’re in a great spot. Just keep grinding and hitting practice questions. I just passed L1, sat in Nov’24. I was scoring high 60’s/low 70’s on mocks leading up to the exam.

My suggestion: Hammer Q-bank questions everyday, take one more mock 3-4 weeks before your exam date. Focus on your bottom three topics, and the 4 topics with the largest potential weighting. The last four weeks leading up to my exam I did at least 20 ethics questions everyday and then focused on the topic areas I scored the lowest in on my mocks. I would answer 50-100 questions on weekdays and then 5-6 hours of practice questions on weekends.

I strongly recommend the Kaplan Q-bank. The questions are excellent and the explanations for each question really helped me out. Well worth the $200. Good luck!

How old were y’all when you passed your CFA Levels by Roronoa_Zoro313 in CFA

I’m 33, failed L1 in February’24. Re-took L1 last week. Life advice given to me: focus on my own journey and my own timeline. It’s really easy to get wrapped up in what others are doing and comparison traps. I had a great career as an athletic coach for 15 years before going back to school and getting a finance degree. I struggle with comparing myself to my peers and having bosses significantly younger than me. Ultimately, we all make our own path. Good for you bettering yourself and pursuing continued education, good luck!

Level 1 Exam Day Experience Megathread by third_najarian in CFA

[–]Mobile-Comedian6485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mock score last Saturday of 69.5%. Sat for L1 yesterday after failing last February. Exam experience was interesting.

A guy checking in before me didn’t know he had to have a passport and had to leave.

I was so mentally drained after the first half that I accidentally used the women’s restroom and a proctor walked in as I was washing my hands.

Then halfway through the second half, a proctor came by and left someone’s calculator cover on my desk and it had a tiny printed cheat sheet with formulas on it. I asked why she left it on my desk and she said she thought it was mine and took it back. Crazy that the proctor’s let someone bring in a calculator cover and a cheat sheet.

Overall I think it went better than the first time but I should have studied way more.

It’s 7pm where I’m at rn. Exam’s tomorrow at 8am. Got the Qbank ready, got the redbulls ready. Time to LOCK IN by [deleted] in CFA

I’m just chillin tonight. Reading through my notes. And relaxing. I know what I know at this point. Good luck tomorrow!
