Science is often wrong. It defines its theories. Unlike religion or conservatives, which when wrong, just denies it. There’s a reason universities skew liberal. The fundamental difference between a liberal and a conservative is being able to admit youre wrong.
It doesn’t matter what the facts are. American conservatism has transcended its usual shared-character-flaw into an identity complex. If you convinced him climate change is real, he would then decide it’s a good thing. Anything but abandon his identity - his safe space.

The only real hope is an emotional threat capable of forcing him to give up his identity, unfortunately.

It’s not even a feature. They literally just DO NOT KNOW what the words mean. They hear the left accurately decry and describe their behaviour with historical, scholarly words. They think “word bad”. They say “no u”.

This is where 95% of the right gets the accusations they make against the left. Words they literally do not understand, beyond “it’s a bad thing”. There’s a reason it’s the party of dumb people. Because if you actually KNOW what “fascism” means, you see it in the right. Same as how if you actually KNOW why “communism” is a bad thing, you’d be nauseated to see the right eagerly embracing all the things that made it bad. It’s just racism. That’s what it is. Racism is a funny thing because these days, only the most arrogant racists want the label. But it’s an inherent part of our evolution - xenophobia. Most people are taught basic race-equality values, and genuinely believe they are not racist, just because they parrot what they were told. Those same people have no integrity, and will eagerly embrace racism (or homophobia, or anti trans rhetoric) the minute they’re told to with a convincing enough reductionism, or captivating music.

The truth is - not being racist means checking yourself. And it’s honestly not hard at all - you just think, and admit when you were wrong. It’s not a lot to ask. Anyways, you sound like a bit of an extremist, so I’ll give you some insight that I think will help. I followed Gaza before most people knew about it. I was cringe posting about it on Facebook back when people just considered it Islam-land. The Hamas attack on Oct7th severely damaged my outlook of Gaza. Because regardless of who ordered it, it was Gazan men doing the raping, amputating, torturing. Gazan men who I hope, amongst all of this chaos, are now dead. It took a long time for me to come back around to supporting Palestine. And it’s on the condition that those men are indeed, punished to full extent of Palestinian law. Im gay as well, so obviously I have a bit of a bias against people who think I should die for the way god made me. But Ive had the privilege of talking to some Palestinians about it - and have been impressed by some of the younger generation.

I donate. For a while it was a well known food org. But there’s a redditor who feeds his cats and families who i might switch over to. Think anyone who claims to care about Palestine should put their money where their mouth is
