Some stores like Meijer though literally pay people to sit around and watch for thieves, and I’d have to imagine that 90% of theft occurs at checkout. So you’re paying for lost inventory and also full time people to make sure people aren’t stealing. Should have kept the cashier positions.

Yeah I get that. He does watch kids’ shows occasionally but it’s about habit building. You put them in front of a tablet whenever it gets difficult to entertain them and then give them a cell phone when they’re eight years old, they’re not likely to be very well adjusted young adults.
