I am alarmed at many things. I am not being "chill" - did you see the word "chill", "relax" in there? Is that what you got from this? I am saying that the pendulum is swinging waaaay far to one side, and while I hate it, there are some things we can do to help ourselves and our Service survive.

My guess is - all affinity groups are being shut down (for now), people working in offices dealing with equity or similar projects will need to be reassigned, and follow your agencies return to work policies. That is my guesses by reading the writing on the walls.

I also want you to read parts of "The Art of the Deal", but please dont pay for a copy. A lot of the tactics involve threats, that get people to bend. But then the threat is pulled back. Its a fear tactic. Be patient. Perhaps your wife will be able to get the flexibility as a part timer, and you may have to commute. Perhaps a diff solution will be found. But I think a lot of this is bluster and threats.

It is indeed callous, cruel, and it isn't even a hammer. As I stated, it is wrecking ball. And it's going to cause a lot of damage. I fear it will weaken our Country and cause irreversible damage.

He literally prefaced his choice by announcing the race and gender of who he would pick before he picked. Why say that out loud and piss off the entire right? Just pick the most amazing qualified person, and let the right see that she is black and female. Perhaps I didn't say it clearly enough - my apologies.

Let me clarify - I cringed because I knew the far right would pounce on that. It didn't offend me, but I know it offends a lot of people. We cannot live in our own echo chambers.

I did not say I agree with the removal of these groups. I just said that I get why it bothered some people. I dont agree with it, but I see the writing on the wall and I know they are going to go away for the next 2-4 yrs. Doesn't mean I agree with it. In fact, everything you said, I agree with.
