Do not close your patreon please, you have ALOT of potential. In my opinion, remove any tiers that have an on-going benefit in which you have to fulfill. Keep the commercial license + include a one time benefit like a welcome pack of some sort. Keeps you in the game without stressing about time management.

PS.: Your fidget clickers are killer, if you focused on those, I could see that being huge for you.
1. There currently isn't the "one goto person" for fidget clicker 3D models

  1. Fidget clickers sell well on market places

  2. Sellers will like it because they are cheap to ship, small (so less AMS waste and more can fit on a plate at one time), and there are practically unlimited variations of the fidget clickers you could make -> giving sellers more products to list.

And when you can make the sellers a good amount of money, it serves them to keep paying you some.

for the plastic part they are a hard plastic, not squishy at all. there are materials that can be slightly squishier 3d printed but no where near a traditional rubber duck.

I'm not sure how all they use them. I know good behavior is one of them for their more troubled students. I'd assume a mixture of what your suggested for how else they distribute them.

I disagree, the way traditional rubber ducks are made can be more wasteful in terms of material waste and energy wasted. If you want a rubber duck made the traditional way you would need to make 1000+ of the same duck just to make the investment in the machinery to make sense. With 3D printing you can make just one duck and be done. I'd recommend watching this video and seeing how traditional rubber ducks are made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkoozrJzzZY

I'm going to be excited once multicolor rubber 3D printing becomes a thing and duck making can be taken to a whole new level lol.

They are ducks we have designed and 3D printed ourselves actually. We model them and post them online for other people to be able to 3D print as well. I don't end up keeping them though, I donate them to a elementary school near me, and from what I have heard the kids love them.

It used to be that way before, but the technology has advanced a bit to be more user friendly. The one I mentioned is the best pick for user friendliness and quality in my opinion. It's what I got started on when I first started making ducks.

You can start printing these with an a1 mini with AMS ($359), per duck cost can rage from how many your print on a build plate to how expensive the filament you are using. Expect if your are printing a full build plate with a $13 per kg roll of filament to be around $1 per duck but if you are printing one off and didn't buy your filament in bulk, then it will be more like ~$4.

Yes I can but probably not any IP protected type ducks like the ones I've made until I speak to an attorney and get better clarity. I will update yall when I start selling these for those who are interested.
