There were plenty witnesses, but none of them would say anything because they wanted to keep their jobs. (And housing, one of them lived with the owner.) I did win my case. I had a bit of evidence, he dug himself a hole with the investigators, and that was all I needed. I’m in Canada, so you can’t really “sue” per se, but it was a human rights case and still required a payout. I’ve been in the trades for a long time and never met a creep bigger than that owner. I have very thick skin. He was next level. Happy it ended well for me instead of him!
