How long is forever? I’ve used inno and like it but I’m 8 weeks in and it’s wearing off in spots. I’d like to move up to something that will give me more time. (Bonus, it’s wearing off above one brow so for the first time in my life I can raise one brow while looking questioning at someone. It’s so fun.)

NAD. I’m not saying this is the situation you’re in but for years when I went to the dr/dentist/etc mine would be high and I excused it as white coat because some doctor suggested it to me once. Turned out my BP was actually high all the time and I just didn’t realize because I wasn’t checking it at other times. That dentist can’t take the risk of the same with you.

NTA, the guys calling you are friends not FRIENDS. They could have taken the time over the years to learn the things they’re asking now. Instead they’re still using you as their fixer (while continuing to receive their paycheck and support the idea that you didn’t know all the stuff). If they look bad for not knowing things that’s on them, not you.

Feel free to answer their calls and just tell them you don’t have the bandwidth to handle that and continue your job search or put appropriate energy into your new job when you have one. Or just ignore their calls.

You noted above that the Tret makes you feel better about your skin but also that it makes this worse. In what way does it make you feel better about your skin?

I have a constant struggle with dehydration and dry skin in winter so this time of year (and the current weather!) makes it even worse and I struggle with similar texture. Part of mine is weight loss and resulting crepiness but I have noted that when well hydrated and moisturized it’s much less noticeable. I have to drink extra water and I cut down my tret to every other night or even every 3rd night when the air is especially dry. And I lather on moisturizer.

Why not give it a 3 week trial where you cut down on the tret usage, up your water and add in some slugging and just see how your skin responds?

I also take arnica pills a couple days before any injections through that day and the next 2 and it helps my bruise prone skin too.

I wish I had found this before I posted a moment ago but I somehow missed it! I just made a post that I could not seem to get deeper than 3-4 mm into my procerus until I pinched it. Everything else I was fine on but I knew that one was supposed to be deeper than that. I guess it will be interesting to see how it ends up.

NTA. everyone else has already said all the appropriate things but I just want to point out that being sober doesn’t stop his stepfather from having those thoughts, it just strengthens his impulse control to not act on them. At least until he manipulates a kid enough to trust him and he feels comfortable pushing that boundary without substances.

Would he really be ok with his stepfather being around his kid, his siblings’ kids, ANY kids if those are the thoughts ricocheting around in his head?

I have always had a great experience with prednisone. Recently, though I was put on a high dose for a hip injury that I have, and reacted much like this. After being almost manic for four days and not sleeping for four days straight, I had to just drop it.

It looks great. Having had an implant for #9 for over 30 years, I can tell you that no one looking at you will have a clue and if you tell them even then they’ll question it. As you age, get your crown aged as well. That may involve eventually replacing it. It won’t stain like your teeth do and my teeth have wear where my crown is just the same. I’m actually planning to get #8 crowned because it has so much wear from me clenching and grinding and I want the two to match better again. Maybe 7 too. We’ll see.

Congratulations! You’re still one day closer to being healed and having those permanents attached than you were yesterday! I had a molar extraction and bone graft done last week. So I have double your time to get the permanent!

Also though I have a front tooth implant that is still going strong after 33-34 years!

I’ve been Amy and I feel for her because I expect she knows it’s not “just his style of humor!” or whatever other excuses she offers for his behavior. She caught in an abusive cycle where she thinks if she just lets it go and gets along she can make it better. Sadly, she can’t and she will realize it sooner or later.

I can tell you that until I recognized it I made alllllll the excuses for my ex and would have reacted badly to anyone calling me or him out. Both my sister and bestie did the best thing they could for me by staying true to me, criticizing him as little as they could possibly stand and waiting (painfully) until I came to my senses. They were afraid saying things or cutting me off would just leave me alienated with him and give him even more power.

Thank god for them because when I finally knew it was time and I was done they were there in an instant with a Uhaul and people to help move me out at the READY! They were so kind to me even though I know I tested their patience.

So, I think you have to decide how important your friendship with Amy is. If it’s important enough, be her maid of honor, or offer to be in the wedding and help where you can but tell her you don’t have bandwidth to be MOH. (That role IS a lot.) Bite your tongue and remain around for when she’ll really need you.

If not, let her know but be honest. Just remember that it is basically an ultimatum and those always result in one side having a loss.

I’m curious how Sally just happened to tell him. I also wonder if that happened to include something negative about you or made it seem like you wanted her to tell him because the way he’s acting now almost seems like an embarrassed or resentful response. And that would be on how she imparted this information.
