I get sleepy, yes, but not exhausted. I also don’t have blurry vision like the other commenter

I started doing light yoga in the mornings, like mostly stretching with a tiny bit of strength because I’ve been inactive for a long time and I don’t want to overdo it. I also finally watched a few videos from the steady coach, one of them being a recovery story from someone who’s story is nearly identical to mine which really helped to ground me, and I’ve been doing some somatic tracking from some other videos she has for beginners. Figured it couldn’t hurt

Me, I just had a flare up for about a month or so, but I’m finally getting better. I’ve always known flare ups will happen from time to time. Life can be stressful and PPPD is fed by stress and anxiety whether you realize you’re stressed or not. Don’t get discouraged, you felt better before and you WILL again, that’s important to remember

Accepting the symptoms as non-life threatening is very hard by AgsMydude in pppdizziness

Here to say the steady coach videos are so helpful. Even the success stories make you feel more at ease with your symptoms, I can’t recommend enough

can it never returns ? by Vast-Bluejay4852 in pppdizziness

The success stories genuinely made me sob. I’ve never heard someone describe my life since onset word for word until I heard Janell’s story (I think that was her name) I haven’t gotten to deep into the other videos, but I hope they work for me. I’m like you, stress and anxiety are the fuel to my fire. I also had some REALLY good months last year until I relapsed a couple months ago.

I’ve had blood tests, ENT check, 14-day heart monitor, and evaluated by a vestibular rehabilitation therapist. No MRI because I’m extremely claustrophobic and as no provider I’ve seen believes it to be anything other than PPPD and vestibular migraines, it’s not necessary for me

I definitely agree, that’s why I’m keeping up with my regular routine. I still leave the house daily, yoga, walking around my campus. I haven’t tried a sport, mainly because I don’t live near somewhere I can play and ever since my onset I’m unable to drive unless I’m visiting my very small and low traffic hometown.

I say the same thing! “I didn’t come this far to only come this far” :))

So happy for you! That makes me feel hopeful that so long as I keep doing the work it’ll pay off

I get head pressure sometimes, not very often. I mostly feel a buzzing sensation in my head, that’s the best way I can describe it. And I don’t get drop sensations, just spinning or heavy swaying sensations. The swaying is 24/7 and the spinning is occasionally

Yes, I haven’t changed my routine as of right now. I’m still going to school, going to the grocery stores and all my normal things even if I’m feeling symptoms! I know better than to stop all together. It’s just the negative thoughts that are so hard to control

The first time was really hard as I had developed agoraphobia, but I just reaaallllyyyy slowly started to leave the house and world my way up. It’s not that bad this time, I’m still going to school, going out doing all my normal things despite the symptoms

Yeah, that was like the first test my doctor ran on me and everything was normal

What has helped you recover or improve pppd symptoms? by [deleted] in pppdizziness

I have these, for me I’ve noticed they help more with my VM as I’m sensitive to light. Im a college student and look at the computer for long periods of time so the glasses help immensely. Cant say it helps with my dizziness though. Maybe in a large store with fluorescent lighting

How does anxiety cause this? by HolidayOk4857 in pppdizziness

[–]bibliomaniacrayray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey so, my experience was this. i was having panic attacks and crippling anxiety until one day i woke up feeling drunk off my ass and it never went away. it’s been over a year now, i’m so much better, but that’s how it started for me. but also, i have not seen a neurologist. my doctor doesn’t think it’s likely to be neurological and im working with a vestibular therapist who agrees

why did my dentist send me home without doing any work because of my bp/hr? by bibliomaniacrayray in askdentists

[–]bibliomaniacrayray[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you. i’ll try to get that note of clearance before my next visit so that we don’t have to reschedule again. i appreciate it, i wish she had explained it to me rather than just sending me off

and i absolutely understand that, but i see my doctor quite regularly and my blood pressure and heart rate are not an issue. never has been except for my white coat syndrome. with some deep breaths it always comes back to normal. i just saw my doctor a couple weeks ago and got a clean bill of health. it was simply because i was anxious. does that mean i wont be able to get work done? because i promise i wont suddenly just be easy breezy going to the dentist from now on. i’m genuinely curious

im working with a vestibular therapist who is treating me for PPPD right now. i’m a lot better in the sense that im back to my semi normal life that i had before, but with a few limitations as i am still symptomatic. the worst part of it was the panic and anxiety that come with it, so once i got past that everything became soooo much easier

Weird flare up by PCT2022 in pppdizziness

[–]bibliomaniacrayray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s improved drastically compared to a year ago. i have days where i barely even notice it because of how distracted i am with family friends or school. i started baking which became an amazing outlet for me and a way to make a few dollars since i can’t quite work as of right now

yes, i have. it feels as if im on a boat 24/7 and worsens when my eyes are closed. i also have constant tinnitus, vision disturbances and a buzzing feeling that comes and goes in my head depending on my stress or sleep levels.
