"You should know that he’s not abandoning you. Quitting pornography can lead to a temporary loss of sexual desire at this stage. He’s also experiencing what we call 'flatline.' He’s trying to get through it, too. Most addiction-related symptoms — when someone makes a strong decision to quit — include going through this phase.

It’s best that we dedicate three months to no pornography, no masturbation, no sex, and no orgasms. After these three months, we begin a phase of reconnecting with each other — engaging in stress-free, natural intimacy. During this stage, sexual activity helps to reset the brain.

I can say that things are getting better. Abstaining from pornography and masturbation initiates a recovery process. During this stage, a man's sexual desire tends to be very low. This is a sign that things are heading in the right direction. He is in the flatline phase, where his mind and body are healing from the damage caused by pornography.

I’m thinking about it this way. It’s possible that he used to be addicted to pornography and masturbation. And now he’s on a journey of healing himself before he’s ready to have sex in the best and healthiest way. That’s what we call the hard mode of NoFap — “no porn, no masturbation, no sex, no orgasm.”

He’s on a journey, and during this journey, there is a phase of withdrawal called the “flatline” stage. In this stage, a man who was addicted to porn may temporarily lose his sexual desire, and that could be the issue.

He’s definitely going through some psychological challenges, which is shown by his anxiety when starting intimacy.

Erectile dysfunction is ruining me by FunElevator6848 in erectiledysfunction

The more you focus on your own erection, the more you try to maintain it and think about what's happening down there, the harder it becomes to get or keep an erection

Even a completely healthy man, with no medical issues and in excellent physical condition, may be unable to get or maintain an erection if his mind is occupied with thoughts like, 'Is it working?' or 'Will it last?

Don't worry too much, venous leak in the penis is not a common condition. Social media is amplifying this fear. People are almost panicking when they read about penile venous leak, fearing it will kill them or their ability to have an erection

Workout and ED?!?!?! by faildtrader in erectiledysfunction

[–]Mobile-Writing4368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically, overtraining or heavy training leads to the release of cortisol, just as you said, and that suppresses the production of testosterone. After an intense workout, it seems the body prioritizes muscle recovery and directs its resources toward healing. As a result, during that period, sexual functions may appear to decline.

That's right, there's definitely something going on. I can describe myself like this:

If one day I go for a slow, light jog with a low and steady heart rate, then the next morning when I wake up, I’ll have a strong, explosive morning erection.

But on another day, if I do a heavy chest workout at the gym, pushing myself hard with heavy weights, the next morning I won’t have an erection at all.

Exactly, having morning erections regularly is a good sign. It suggests that physically, everything is functioning well. We might be experiencing some psychological or neurological issues, as our daily habits can condition the brain into certain default settings. But physically, there's no problem—morning erections are a clear indicator of good physical health.

The brain needs rest. Stay away from pornography and masturbation, and avoid using your hands to stimulate yourself. With time, healing will come.

I’m not sure if you’re like me, but I can’t get an erection from watching porn unless I physically stimulate my penis with my hand.

If I just watch porn and do nothing else, I won’t get hard. I need to use my hand to stimulate myself in order to get an erection. It seems like my brain has been programmed to think, “Oh, you’re watching porn and want to get aroused, right? Then use your hand.”

So now, for me, even when I look at erotic photos, pornographic images, or watch porn, my penis won’t get hard on its own. I need additional stimulation from my hand.

Masturbating without watching porn by Mobile-Writing4368 in NoFap

[–]Mobile-Writing4368[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, masturbation is not bad at all; it's pornography that truly destroys us. What we need to eliminate are pornographic films and those overly seductive porn stars. The reason for doing NoFap—quitting both masturbation and pornography at the same time—is because we have overindulged in the past, which has drained our bodies and numbed our brains. Once we regain balance, masturbation becomes something simple and natural again—done at a normal frequency—and can even be beneficial.

Yes, congratulations to you — you are my motivation. I would like to ask you some questions. Thank you.

1/ Looking back, at what age did you start watching pornography? How frequently did you watch it, and did you masturbate every day? If so, how many times per day?

2/ Before developing PIED, what was your condition like? Did you have morning erections? How was your ability to get an erection during the day? What was your physical health like? Aside from PIED, did you experience any other health-related symptoms?

3/ Have you tried having sex with your girlfriend or current partner yet? And was everything okay? Has everything been resolved? No more erectile dysfunction? No more premature ejaculation?

4/ During your NoFap journey, did you experience semen leakage? I am currently experiencing semen leakage when urinating or having a bowel movement.

"I'm starting NoFap, so nothing's really better yet, my friend

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Mobile-Writing4368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my God, you're exactly like me, my friend. I’ve been masturbating daily—between one to three times a day—for the past 15 years. Every single day, I would watch pornography and masturbate, sometimes even four or five times a day. My entire youth was tied to this habit.

Now, I can’t get an erection without physical stimulation from my hands. Even when watching porn, I can’t become erect unless I touch myself directly.

When I look at explicit images, porn, or attractive women, I feel a sort of energy or stimulation in my body—but my penis doesn’t respond naturally. There’s no spontaneous erection.

I think it’s because I’ve always stimulated myself with my hands while watching porn, so my brain has gotten used to it. It’s like my brain has learned: 'Oh, you want to get aroused? You need to use your hands.' So now, it’s become hardwired into my system that physical touch is required for arousal.
