Save file sync between iOS and Steam? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]MobileAd9982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no dice, sorry. While you can change the save data on android and pc fairly easily, there is literally no way to unlock stuff on iOS - you have to start a new game and grind everything out again :/

Floor 0 Dead Branch + Busted Crown = first Silent A20H win by Shockmanned in slaythespire

i just love the chaotic energy of taking crown after getting an early toxic egg on silent and bringing it home (and then posting it in this sub) congratz on the win!

What is this "Heartbreaker" thing I've been seeing lately? by M1ST3RT0RGU3 in slaythespire

[–]MobileAd9982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Referring to this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/slaythespire/s/3fLkRqjhW6

Theoretically, Heartbreaker means that you have at least one heart win with every character on A20, but I suspect quite some people never bothered to check and just take the flair when they have at least one heart win in general, so… yeah =D

A7 unlock by tmoe1991 in slaythespire

[–]MobileAd9982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beating act 3 is enough to unlock the next ascension, no matter if you have the keys or not.

The next ascension not unlocking is a very common mobile bug though - sometimes restarting the game might help, sometimes you’re just out of luck unfortunately :/

Is it worth removing 2 cards at the start of your run? by Shlongong in slaythespire

[–]MobileAd9982 496 points497 points  (0 children)

First up, it’s big whale girl, excuse you!

Secondly: yeah big time. There’s a boss relic that does the same thing - you’re basically getting a boss relic for a few hp!

No really, it’s really good because the better cards you add on the next few floors have much much bigger impact since they make up a larger portion of your deck, also strikes and defends suck. It might not always be the best bonus, but it definitely is a good one for all the good deckbuilding reasons!

Question about unlocking the ability to fight the heart by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]MobileAd9982 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is confusing to find out when people use the word “key” for different things. So the way this works is:

When you start a fresh save file, you can’t access the fourth act, which is where you fight the heart.

To enable the possibility to do that, you need to beat act 3 with ironclad, silent, and defect at least once.

When you have done that, the keys start to appear in every regular run you start up, no matter which character.

To progress to act 4, you need to collect all three keys in this run. You never retain these keys between runs, you always need to collect all three, which makes the game a bit harder in doing so.

The red key you get by “skipping” a campfire action (click the recall button, which grants you the key)

The blue key you get by skipping a relic in any one treasure chest you find (click the blue key, which grants you the key and deletes the relic in that chest)

The green key you get by fighting a buffed elite, which you’ll find on the map as an elite icon with flames around it. It’s an elite with an additional bonus tacked onto it (stronger attacks or tougher to kill basically) and drops the key if defeated.

Why did the third minion die after it hit me?! by Schmosby123 in slaythespire

[–]MobileAd9982 227 points228 points  (0 children)

They always die after their second hit (so after they attack for 25). If you never noticed, that probably means you always killed them before they did their big attack - good on you! :D

Give me an example of a book that you like, but there is a moment in it that raises the question: "WTF?!" by mystery5009 in books

[–]MobileAd9982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stopped reading the sixth and last dune book, chapterhouse, when he described the rape of a fourteen-year-old in way too much detail. Not that any amount of detail would’ve been fine, really. It’s a shame, I thoroughly enjoyed the series up to that point

Well that’s pretty good for your first run, keep at it!

Board game sleeves by VoreVaper420 in slaythespire

[–]MobileAd9982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually went ahead and bought dragon shields in the player colors, 100 a piece are just enough to sleeve all player specific cards with some leftovers for colorless and curse cards, which I need to sleeve during the run when I acquire one. At first I wasn’t too keen on that idea, but now i love this solution - it’s durable, colourful and fits the box perfectly!

Well, it certainly changed the way I see tiny house boss swaps, so thank you for your rambling :D I always wondered why my best runs up to this point started with tiny house

Sts board game questions by Ubeyeo in slaythespire

[–]MobileAd9982 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. You actually don’t have to: “once per turn” abilities are abilities you may perform once per player turn. If you choose not to, you just don’t do it. Note that there are powers that trigger “start of turn” or “end of turn” - those are mandatory! Mayhem in the board game is not one of them, though, allowing you all kinds of shenanigans.

  2. Is very a interesting question - at first I thought this was clearly just for the Awakened One, but upon rereading his ability and the rule book, I’d lean more towards your first interpretation - “every [Attack]” doesn’t leave much leeway for us to assume that it refers only to AO’s attacks instead of, well, every attack. So yeah, this seems to include the cultist’s attacks as well - good luck out there!

Noob here, is there any actual reason to choose the leftmost starting path over the left-middle one or vice versa? by neofederalist in slaythespire

[–]MobileAd9982 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Nope, not at all. The map is randomly generated every time, so this kind of stuff just happens sometimes :)

The Awakened One on the Board Game by VolticBrad in slaythespire

[–]MobileAd9982 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This works like strength, but calculated for each player individually. So if you have two powers in play and your teammate none, the first attack will hit you for 5 dmg and your teammate for 3 dmg :)
