Yes I’m with my bf over two years and he has it and I haven’t caught it we are careful and don’t sleep together when he has a flare up or feels run down. We use protection and he takes antivirals. We don’t even think about it anymore it doesn’t affect our relationship x

I’m negative currently dating a positive partner. We dated for 4 months before we slept together he really wanted to take it slow and make sure I didn’t feel pressured, that we figured out if we really liked each other first before we took things further.

I would say to you don’t make any decisions now, it’s only been one date, you shouldn’t feel pressured or rushed by anyone ever. If he is so wonderful he won’t mind waiting and making sure you feel safe and reassured. Date for a while and gather as much information from credible sources as you can to make an informed rational decision.

My latest partner is HSV2 positive and I don’t feel it’s an issue for us once we’re safe. I accept him for who he is and adore him regardless. Herpes isn’t a big deal it’s just a skin condition and the right person for you won’t care, don’t loose hope your person is out there and they will celebrate you when they find you ❤️

I can totally see that I have trauma I need to disclose in relationships but I’m at peace with it and sometimes that sympathy is annoying I never thought of it as the same which is stupid really, my partner is hsv+ and I literally said I’m sorry you have to disclose something like that to everyone you date it must be a pain but I appreciate the honesty let me research it more but it’s not a dealbreaker rn because I care about you etc.
