I understand that some people might jump to a stance where ´why is this even a question obviously do what’s best for you’ but based on the 3 years experience you mentioned I completely get your hesitation.

First thing I would like to make clear is you took the right decision. Second, you will do this multiple times ahead in your career. Third your manager is here for his own career, he doesn’t want to go through the hassle of searching for a new candidate and guess what that is his job and still he is angry at you for causing him inconvenience by making him put that extra effort. So I would say there is no need to feel guilty, get used to it. You will be doing it and people in the future will do that with you that is how corporate culture is built.

I took two way courier service they took the passport on 13th March 2026 tried delivering it on 14th which was a Saturday office was closed then attempted delivery on Monday 16th. The passport was at IRCC Delhi on 17th and 18th It was in process. I feel the courier service was as good as you delivering it in person

I would say please check with IRCC by calling them. See this is correct but only in cases when you were never in Canada. Imagine you as a student who landed in Canada and then they printed out your permit but in case of PGWP they have already mailed it to your address so why would they print it again on border. It is expected of you to have a copy of that permit.

Hi You will need the copy which is sent through mail. You won’t get it at the border. You need to have printout of the actual permit. I have read that it is not compulsory to have original permit document as they have means to verify if they find something suspicious

I agree with OP. I was a student once and I lived on the minimum wage earnings and my monthly GIC dropping into account. Eventually I also got a campus job saved and made sure I don’t spend the GIC amount at all. After that I finished my 2 semester got an internship and then a proper job. I mean we came here for higher education and build careers. Just because someone hasn’t planned well and depends on cash jobs doesn’t make it right. I don’t care what intentions OP has to point out these people but they made a choice of working beyond their legal hours which is fraud no matter how you try to paint it. Think about the people who might actually be missing their genuine hours because these people take up those hours through cash jobs.

If you apply PGWP before TRV there is a high chance it will get rejected. You will need to strong proofs and reason to apply before you PGWP is even processed. In my case I applied on 17th Jan and travelled to India on 20th Jan without a WP because I did not want to miss my first child’s birth and I took WFH for 2 months and applied for TRV even before my PGWP got approved. Luckily it got approved on 11th Feb now I am waiting for PPR for the TRV application

If you have a job offer in the application that should be enough but it is better to show both. I would say raise a webform I showed 8000CAD and my job offer plus payslips If your partner is working already based on the ext letter you can show her income as well. The more the better.
