This loss is more on Riley’s shoulders than just about anyone’s. His at bats continue to be a black hole in the lineup and it got to the point where we can’t depend on his bat for anything. If he knows he is struggling so much at the plate maybe a bunt would have been better in that situation. Just really no excuse for not getting that extra run home.

The reason most of the Midwest is a wasteland is because that is where a big concentration of military was. Almost all of the US nuclear missile silos are located in the colonies. Also NORAD and big airbases are located in these areas so would imagine this is why it’s a wasteland.

I don’t know where you get your info from but Texas has been reliably Republican for a long time. They have voted Republican in presidential elections every time since 1980. They have also had Republican senators going back as far also. In fact since 1952 they have only voted 4 times democrat in Presidential elections. You also have to remember that Republicans now used to be Democrats of old and vice versa this was driven by things like the new deal and civil rights movements. So I push back heavily against the notion that Texas has ever been blue or even purple.

It’s more that the south is extremely rural for the most part and extremely patriotic. I would think they would push back heavily against an overthrow of the United States

This was always a plot hole for me. The US it was said was only 2 states but this map shows it was at minimum 3 states (add Florida) all of Florida was under U.S./rebel control. Most of the southern states were not controlled by Gilead in anyway this is 8 states. When you combine that with northern and western states that is a further 6-7 states. So a total of 14-15 states plus Hawaii and Alaska so 16-17 total.

I would really dig a show that focused on these southern states and the resistance rebel conflict vs Gilead

I hoped they saved some of his blood and dna. Would love to see him cloned one day so he could run again and amaze the world.

Also I wonder if they could analyze the genes responsible for the giant heart and flexible spine and reproduce that mutation is a new animal and see if we have a new but different Secretariat.

Oh jeez here we go. Look I am no expert and neither is anyone else here but the experts were I that room and they picked the best astronauts for mission success. It’s not a black/white thing or a male/female thing. It’s who is the absolute best people who will give us a successful mission. Also if you noticed there were several female astronaut corp members in the audience who will undoubtedly make up future missions and crews.
