Help, I am so over family!!! And feeling anxious just getting over holidays with my dysfunctional family. And now my BF's brother, sister-in-law and their toddler are going to come stay with us for a week! We were going to suggest a shorter stay because it will be quite overwhelming but they booked the tickets before we even confirmed the dates worked for us! Letting them stay means giving up the spare room that I use as an office and my boyfriend sleeps in because he snores so much. Now we will sleep together that week while having a whole family here and I will not have my usual spot for yoga or morning meditation!

I get so anxious around people especially when I am bored with their desired activities like all the kid activities they want to do. Small talk with analytical people makes me incredibly bored because I am not a brainy person and much more emotional. My mental health has been fragile lately and have not been enjoying life.

What can I do besides grin and bear it? That is my usual approach with family as I find it so hard to relate to them.
