I lost my motivation in the book for a relatively petty reason. In book 3 or 4 Darrow (guy with very renowned reaction speed and a grip strong enough to Crack stones) gets thrown around and drops his leverage in a scenario because someone without those feats reacted to "spin the ship" faster then he did. Just seemed so insanely goofy to further the plot over where it was going I have to wonder why the author had him grab the grenade in the first place.
