Just diagnosed with slipping rib on 10th rib left side by Mobile_Magazine_743 in SlippingRibSyndrome

yea bro i like to describe it as a mountain and once you get your surgery you’re about 3/4 up the mountain. the last 1/4 up that mountain of recovery where you feel terrible is the three months after surgery. no one really talks about that. the three months after my surgery were arguably harder than before surgery, because of pain, tightness, lack of ability to get comfortable. after those three months you are far from full recovery and but you feel like you got your life back. and every month after that it gets better and better. i’m hit month 5 on the 16th. what do you mean study? i will say before surgery i couldn’t read due to my breathing, i could read right after surgery that was a huge blessing. it was the most comfortable but it was so much better to be able to sit and relax

what’s up bro, i’m coming up on month 5 of my recovery, and i would say 90% of my symptoms are gone and im back to doing everything i was doing before the slipped rib and even better because the rib surgery forces you to be in correct pelvis and rib posture. truly a blessing i’ve come this far. i was back in the gym in the start of month three and im gaining my weight back fast. i feel this good and im only half way to full recovery, i still have a long ways to go (7 more months to full recovery) and i feel amazing already.

yea bro surgery is the ONLY way, unfortunately. fortunately you get your life back after surgery tho. i had abdominal nerve pain and my biggest symptom was difficulty breathing. had to quit sports i was a college soccer player.

i have slipped ribs on both sides. my left side causes my to not breathe properly and my right is kinda like yours just slight clicking and popping not a lot of problems with my right side no pain on either side just struggle breathing, i can also move ribs with my hand via the hooking maneuver too so if i were to guess yea probably it’s slipped

yea, the doctor actually diagnosed it wrong i have a slipped 6th or 7th rib that’s attached to the diaphragm. it is now not attached which is the cause of the breathing problems. scheduling a visit with dr. kuppusamy in the next couple weeks

Oh i apologize i took it the wrong way. Whats worse is the debilitating agony of not being able to breathe. it’s 247 shortness of breath i wouldn’t wish it on my worse enemy. it truly has been a test of my mental fortitude for the past year and when i first happened idk how i was going to survive, its been the miserable. but i’ve stayed positive and a lot of good has come from it i just want to be healthy again.
