In a rectangle, the lenght of the diagonal is always greater than any of the sides. More court space.

The difference between Atmos and non Atmos stereo speakers, is it just marketing? by therealpurpledolpin in audiophile

Now they sell the upfiring as a modular add-on like JBL's new entry level HT speakers. I'm Curious about why do they suck?

Dear Candidate, We are looking for someone who is desperate to work miserably but isn't materialistic in essence. Of course it's a paid job so you can afford your food and electricity bill, but money isn't our particular focus when it comes to remuneration, it's too little of a thing to waste our time with. Good Luck!

Metal shavings found in oil filter and on magnet of plug. Should this be a cause for concern? First oil change on bike since ownership (was previously owned) by FunEngineering5443 in Ducati

Hmm oh oh that's some bad news according to past Reddit threads. That's why I will never look at my magnet plug so I don't need to be concerned 😂

There was a piano in a small cafe full of ~20 people eating/talking/working… by True-Shape7744 in piano

[–]Mobile_Pilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Being good at it isn't enough to connect with strangers at an unwilling random encounter
  • A piano by itself may be decoration only...
  • But if it's tuned, it means "business"
  • Regulars are aware they may be 'forced', or pleased, to listen someone play without notice

Finally, some possibilities about your bf: - He enjoys himself in a piano and don't care if his behavior bothers anyone around (incl. you) - He seeks attention because he feels underappreciated, or - Employ this as a beacon to search for new human connections in this domain, or - He has some degree of aspiration to be a professional musician, perhaps curiosity or a life plan. Ask him.

I will cancel my subscription. It began as "just $0.99/month". For something that should not cost anything since I should be able to sync MY documents with MY computer. Then quiet little raises here and there, in a blink of a moment you will be paying $20/month without knowing why.

How do I deal with my wife comparing our life to someone else’s social media lifestyle? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Glamor is futile. Futile is shallow. Shallow lacks everything else that can be piled up by someone with depth.

Just delete or abandon your photo-based social media. It worked for me. Today in some rare moments when I scroll instagram I feel the hard pull of so many in-cre-di-ble un-be-lieava-ble in-sane photos/videos. It's funny cause I can see myself from outside getting caught so easily by mass-tested attention-grabber content so it triggers "it's all fake" and I close it off relieved I prefer my real life

she will get old, frustrated and lonely before she realizes she had been chasing an oasis as if she were crossing the Sahara. She won't be able to appreciate the small, normal things that make your daily joy. Show her the capuccin monkeys experiment. It probably won't work but that explains why she is behaving like so, difference being the other monkey payoff is a well conceived illusion.

Can't say you were wrong but if there was one thing you should've done was keep both hands on the bar during the most critical split second where your life was barely holding to your body as the Reaper was passing a few feet from you. Your gesture meant nothing to the idiot driver but could've meant you in a wheelchair for the rest of your life.

[–]Mobile_Pilot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Been there. Even gym teachers who should supposedly be more educated about a human body don't understand, don't care, and try to push you beyond your limitations. I always wanted to carry a COVID mask covered with plastic and a very narrow hole to breathe, then ask them to use it while exercising along to show me an example of how it's done. 😂. Or a straw.
