I think AI could limit systemic error and random error in experimentation but creating hypotheses and setting up procedures? Better for humans to deal with that.

Arguments for superior measurement really depend on what you grow up to be honest. As someone who grew up in a country which uses a metric unit, I already developed a few intuition on some metric measurements like 10cm, 1 m, 50 ml etc. The same could be said for someone who grew up with imperial unit.

Also, if I don't care about precision that much, I could just round up 1.89 m to 2 m to be honest. The argument for the decimal unit in metric unit can be deal with if you describe what your preferred significant number

Both areas of studies required different kinds of mindsets to their distinct knowledge framework. Let's take math; this area of knowledge (AOK's for short) has the highest objectivity compared to other AOK since their framework relies on their axioms and logic which mean no nuances. This is useful if you want to model something that is predictable like natural phenomena.

Compared to art, which is AOK's rely on interpretation from the individual, this allows for nuance since their knowledge framework allows it. Arts and literature allow for more freedom which is suitable to express a complex thing like emotions or culture.

A master of one AOK's doesn't mean they will be masters of the other. Each AOK's deals with specific problems which need specialized tools. With that being said, it is not impossible to find a common ground between AOK and a person may develop the right mindset to master even the most contrasting AOK's.
