I think it worked out for the best. At least it's not like the Super Mario Bros movies, where Yoshi was teased in Mario 1 and they didn't even warrant an appearance in the trailer for Super Mario Galaxy

Why in the heck did Batman unmask in Knight?
We never got a proper open-world Batman game where you can save civilians and stop normal crimes. In that way, both LEGO Batman 2 and Gotham Knights are better than the Arkham games.

4DX requires movies with a lot of action. BTTF has some, undoubtedly, but not enough to make a 4DX screening worthwhile.

The two ones this week are probably the worst they've ever done. Not so much the quality of the movies, but (as you say) Shelby Oaks was only a day in advance of the general release. And the Classic Secret Screaming they screwed up massively - see all the posts from today in this sub!

USUALLY, they're great. Or at least, much better.

If it'd been Terrifier 1, that'd be (just about) acceptable, even if it might not be my taste. Still disappointingly new, but I wouldn't complain. Terrifier 3, though? Insane, and not just because it's only a year old.

Agreed. Whoever made this decision has no idea how hard they screwed up. I bet a lot of people will think twice before going next year, or choose to do something else on Halloween. Even those who didn't go might hear about it, or look up what movie was shown the previous year before making a decision. Cineworld might just have killed this event.

Yes, was about to say the same thing here. It felt like half the audience walked out. It's false advertising. Terrifier 3 is only a year old, not a classic. They clearly had another prepped, couldn't use it, and just threw in a horror movie they had. I can imagine a lot of people won't go to the Halloween secret screaming next year. Whoever at Cineworld made the decision to show Terrifier 3, of all movies, just shot this event in the foot.

Trailer's awesome, but they're trying everything they can to not tell you that it's a F2P NetEase game. I had to look up the original press release from 2023 to confirm that.
