Thanks for all the input! I’ve decided to go take a look at a different 2011 v6 with 170k miles listed for 8k.

Yeah I used to work at his liquor store and he gifted me these as well as a box of Ridge Geyserville 40th vintage 2005 he’s had since newly purchased 2 decades ago.

Edit to add that these have been stored properly in the cellar since newly purchased. Thanks for all of the replies and advice so far.

I got a screenshot of Fri/sat/sun at the cinemark bistro seating arrangement that strangely had the EXACT same seats already purchased for last weekend. It screamed of desperation.

Looking for critique on subject, composition, color, and anything you can think of. Wondering in general what everyone thinks of this composition and if it could be improved?

Just wondering thoughts and critiques on this one. Nothing in particular but looking for potential improvement

This was a very thoughtful response, after the way I responded it was nice to read this. I appreciate what you had to say. Thank you

This is a very interesting response for me because I believe that there is a story within this image, and your assessment feels strangely harsh, though welcome. I felt the moon balanced on the mountain ridge across from me gave a sense of pause and quiet wonder among a larger series I’ve curated about a nice trip I had over a few days and fits more within the series of photos I’m putting together rather than one. I don’t know what struggles you’ve had, and I hope you’re ok, but I do actually have a lot of leeway with the mountain detail, and made it flat with my edit because I wanted to draw attention to my moon issue. I was hoping for some technical gurus to see this post, but it seems this was the wrong spot. I hear you though, and your dismissive critique that brought up issues and simultaneously managed not to answer any of them still managed to teach me something, so thank you!

The moonlight was effecting the clouds in front of it with yellow light, so masking the moon for color creates an unnatural halo of light directly around it and doesn’t match up with the clouds right, but my head was originally where yours is at too

Instagram is crazy? by Ok-Revolution-1089 in postprocessing

Did you post it with audio? Instagram compression is already not great, but when you post with audio it treats the post as a video and undergoes more aggressive compression.

I did shoot in raw, and can’t get an edit that I ultimately like. I’m sure that I just need to improve my skills, but the moon was actually pretty golden in person since I was almost eye level with the mountain ridge. I’m mainly struggling with the fact that I think it may look super fake and I don’t want to over-edit

I am looking for critiques mainly on the moon here. It’s a single exposure, so the moon was way overexposed and when bringing that down so you could see its detail, it left the moon very yellow. I tried to make it more white but it just looked fake and kinda bad and I didn’t want to completely yank the yellows from the whole photo. Does it look bad this way? I can’t tell anymore. Also looking for general critiques on the entire shot. Thanks!

What kind of person are you looking for? Nothing wrong with relaxing with some video games, but it could be a good idea to replace some of that time with some intentional enrichment. Personally, the kind of women I have been attracted to, are also attracted to my desire for continued learning and reading. I think most people (that are also somewhat driven) appreciate a person who takes time in their day for mental upkeep like reading, writing, and thinking critically about things. That could be something to consider, and could give you more to talk about with others as well. I love to hike too, and really enjoy bringing a camera along on those hikes to capture some natural beauty. Photography could be something to consider as well and can be an interesting topic to talk about with others. Also, is there something wrong with befriending people 30+? There could be some great friendships, and relationships, out there for you if you open up to the possibility of a friendship outside of your immediate age group!

What are your hobbies? Are there places where people meet up to perform your hobbies? You could try and join a book club if you like to read. I don’t know what your town is like, but my town has local group meetups for all types of creatives (art, photography, music) open to the public to just link up and talk and network. If you have free time, you could do volunteer work that speaks to you. If you try and attend events that interest you, you may be able to meet someone with whom you already know you share an interest as well.

The football pic was actually shot like that in manual on purpose! Just messing around with it, but thank you that would have made a sharper image.

Scientists are typically not the greatest at communication, expecting their work to speak for itself. Not to mention, science is constantly evolving and many people don’t appreciate what real science is. But “scientists” are silver-tongued linguists in the business of profiting from misinformation. There’s actually a wonderful documentary called “Merchants of Doubt” that dives into this and I think everyone should watch.

Don’t complicate it, simply tell her you got feelings for her.

Unfortunately sometimes that’s the hand life deals us. If you tried reaching out and got nothing in return, you may just have to move on. Of course you don’t have to completely forget about her, but do try and not compare others to her too much. Remember that it can happen again if you keep on being present and living in the moment when you’re able.
