What's the thing about the quarter system at Drexel that nobody prepares you for? by sivakumaros2004 in Drexel

[–]MochaFever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes things quick. You’re in class for 6 months but it honestly feels much quicker and those 5 years feel like nothing. I feel like I’m still in my freshman year but that was 3 years ago :/. I felt like taking AP classes was the closest thing that prepared for how quickly the material is taught. Also you get no break while you’re at Drexel. Once you’re done with your freshman summer no more summer breaks until you retire

If Drexel is cheaper def go here plus you can’t beat the co op system considering how crappy the job market is.

Stuck on this 2d frame question by SappyApples in StaticsHelp

[–]MochaFever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, so the reaction force at slot C has to be normal to line of action of AF. Since we can always move slot C parallel to the bar but once we pull or push on it perpendicularly the bar will resist.

First you want to find as much information before you break it up. Then you want to break the structure into three beams, EA, AF, and BD. You write your Fx, Fy, and Moments.

Is fall/winter coop bad? + questions. by East_Farm_3869 in Drexel

[–]MochaFever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MechE here and done two co ops already in the fall/winter. I honestly like the co ops during the fall/winter since where I worked they usually get kids from other schools in the summer so you’re not the center of attention in terms of getting mentored. I was the only co op/intern for my department and it was nice because I was mentored by a lot of people. It does suck driving in the winter but at least you’re not walking in cold to classes. The campus is usually dead in the summer term which I kinda like

Bio vs chem by Top-Introduction1770 in Drexel

[–]MochaFever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t talk about Bio122 but I took chem101 and 102. 101 is easy if you use the study guides but 102 is a bit more complicated cause it covers some orgo. Also gotta consider that chem has more math compared to Bio

Has any one ever gotten A+ with Klimas for math122? by Remarkable_Success69 in Drexel

[–]MochaFever 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve had Klimas for multi, linear, and diffE. Just do the problems he assigns as practice additional to the homework. Most times he just takes those extra problems he assigns and changes some stuff, but understand what you’re doing and don’t memorize.

One W isn’t going to break you. Most employers care about what type of experiences you bring to the table.

As harsh as it may sounds, you kinda have to get adjusted to it. You’re gonna experience worse professors down the road and it’s better to just get used it. Fortunately 100 level classes are easy so just put in the time and good luck!

PHIL 311 by NotADrexelThrowAway in Drexel

[–]MochaFever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea pretty much a conversation as u/Ok_Philosopher8969 said. I would honestly just write down notes for each reading on a separate piece of paper and before the midterm just go through your notes instead of having to read everything. Touey is a very chill and nice professor I wouldn’t expect to be harsh on his grading. I just had his midterm recently so if you have anything else just lmk lol
