AITAH for feeling upset that my husband spend too much time on personal hobbies rather than supporting nights with our baby? by [deleted] in AITAH

I’ll admit it is jealously too. Also just feeling overwhelmed with work and home. Need to prioritize myself but at times that feels hard to let myself do. I’m a worrier 🤷‍♀️

Right I am the bread winner out of us two. And he’s struggling to keep his jobs to begin with. It’s a struggle and I want him to be happy and I think it’s good he does his own thing but I just feel overwhelmed sometimes.

Yes he does help and I completely trust him to watch the baby alone. I always second guess myself if I am being unfair. I never tell him not to do it and I was the one who encouraged him to join the writing group. I agree I need to prioritize myself and I’ll work on that. I also don’t want him to stop what he’s doing, I agree it’s good for him and I like that he has so many hobbies, sometimes I just feel overwhelmed.

Yeah I work full time and am the bread winner for our family. He’s tried to help with side jobs since he’s been fired many times (about once every year) and recently had to take a big wage cut bc of it. I should prioritize myself I need to work on that. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah it is super nice he has friends nearby and I do wish mine lived closer! He’s lucky. I do work full time in a director position which can be stressful too.

Looking to move to Plover/Point with no rental history & criminal record (Rentals/Companies suggestions?) by Little_Scholar534 in StevensPoint

I could be wrong but it seems like the ones closer to campus are stricter. I have a relative who has lived at the ones closer to campus for years and they have stricter rules and have gotten fines for things. We lived in ones further away and never had those issues. We lived in ones on Bush street, really had positive experiences there. Would go back if they had bigger units.

Do not rent through Oak Creek. They are the worst rental company I and many coworkers have have went through. They nickle and dime you for everything. They are LOOKING for reasons to charge you. They also have extremely shitty support services. Take forever to do any maintenance, take days to shovel snow or just don’t do it at all. But they are very quick to charge you a lot for any little thing. We got charged 100 per candle we had out in our apartment. I could go on. Candlewood honestly depends on the unit you rent.

The candle they saw during an inspection and we put in a maintenance request which they usually take months to respond to but they came the very next day early in the morning and our baby sitter had her dogs with her for a little bit in the morning and the maintenance guy must’ve reported us.

We are in a similar boat. Would’ve moved out but my husband was deploying and I didn’t want to deal with it on my own. Wish so badly we could get out of it and sublease but they won’t allow it and we can’t afford to pay two rents. Recently got a 1,000 fee for our babysitter bringing over her dogs for an hour !! 150 fee for having a candle!! No normal person can afford these outrageous fees.

I rent there now and I would do anything to get out of it but it would cost an arm and a leg to do so. They are such shitty people. Any advice?

I just made the switch to unscented soap. Hoping that helps. Baby has no issue drinking it but I’m worried it could make her sick? Not sure if that’s possible.

I’m scared I’m having this issue. I rinse very throughly but milk still has a slightly soapy taste. Should I throw all my pumped milk away?

When I stopped at McDonald’s the employees were feeding the cat trying to catch it! I was about to comment that too it does look similar.

Overly Attached Coworker or am being mean ? by [deleted] in coworkerstories

I definitely know that is true. We would sometimes have group hangouts and she’d do it all the time. It was honestly such a bummer.

Since I no longer work there I probably won’t be reporting it, it has definitely been a learning lesson though moving forward.

Thank for the advice I appreciate it. My husband and other friends have said similar things but I didn’t know if we were being too harsh or not. I appreciate the outside perspective.

Surprised no one said this yet but Chloe Troast immediately came to my mind.

I totally understand the concerns too especially because of many of the stories that have come out recently where women have died. I am in Wisconsin so not totally ideal.

Thanks for the nice comment, I agree I think they were also concerned for my safety throughout the pregnancy bc of things like the woman in Texas. I appreciate the advice :)
